We would like to give you all an update on Support Tickets. Staff are all working extremely hard to restore the site to normal after the issues we had in February. We all want to recover from this as quickly as possible and move on. We suggested opening a Support ticket for the handful of avatars/pets/items that you are really sad to be missing or can't easily replace. We were hoping that you would be understanding and with the amount you gained from the recovery, you would use to rebuild anything missing. The number of support tickets we have received has been overwhelming. We simply cannot keep answering 500+ tickets a day and they still keep coming quicker than we can answer them! We understand that many players are still missing some items but please remember everyone received back a lot of items that they had previously used or sold. There are many more items on the site at the moment due to this and we strongly urge players to buy items from user shops where ever possible.
Please only send a support ticket for items that are rare or not available for sale on the site.
Many tickets we receive are asking for items players are missing that they had used/traded/sold already. Many are sending in Paypal receipts expecting a refund of items purchased that were used/sold/traded already. Some of these longer tickets are taking several hours each to investigate and deal with, only to be sent several more asking for other stuff. Our time was supposed to help return things you cannot easily replace. As a result of this, we are putting Pet Renames on hold again for this month and our Easter Egg Hunt may need to be cancelled this year if we cannot get these tickets under control.
The Basil, Bolimo, Flab, Grint, Paffuto, Quell, Yakubi and Zola can now wear the Tiger Costume.
tbf i barely know what i had in the first place, so the stuff i got back was a pleasant (but not fun to sort through) surprise.
but, alas, lots of ppl on here are terrible and greed overpowers them
ppl who actually LOST stuff they can't re-buy or something, THOSE people should be the ones to send in tickets, not people who think oh! i should send in a ticket for everything i lost, even the stuff i can buy back!
Thank you for the hard work :) If anyone is confused about rare or hard to get items the only thing I sent in a ticket for was a Native Decadal Plushie I had won from the plushie machine. It was the only one on the site so I wasn't able to buy one to replace it. Stuff like that
I also have not sent in a ticket yet. I am still checking my gallery, etc to see what I have lost. Most of my time since the crash has been trying to buy back anything that is available for sale so that I do not have to put it on the ticket.
Maybe staff should limit it to just lost pets for now to get tickets under control? They shouldn't have to deal with this. All items can be replaced somehow. I certainly won't be sending in a ticket for anything. I'm capable of fixing any residual issues I've had myself with the generous way this was sorted in the first place. I don't think it could have been handled any better honestly.
I honestly don't remember what I could be missing or not. I am still going through and using/sorting all the items I was given! I'm perfectly ok with this. Stuff happens. You deal with it and then move on. I haven't and won't be sending in a support ticket about all of this. Keep up the good work guys!
Well, I am missing avatars, magic beans, and other things. But, I realize they are pixels. Granted it is hard (and expensive) to get them back, but I did not send in a Support Ticket. I for one love the Easter Egg Hunt and would be sad not to have it. I understand the loss, but frankly, I can do without and "go on." It is part of the game.
I am happy with what I got back, some right some wrong, but tis fine. I had no idea you were so flooded with tickets that are not necessarily remembered correctly.
So, lets go on. Call it an end to the horrific February Crash and enjoy the site as usual. Let's have fun and move forward. Let the past be the past.
Thank you Ian and kind mara staff for all your hard work you do to keep the site up and running and protecting all of us everyday .
I never expected to get anything back when the site came back up. I'm rebuilding everything on my own with the items I was given. That is more than enough :thumbsup:.
A friend is someone who knows all about you and loves you just the same. Friends and family are special nobody gets left behind or forgotten. I'm thankful for all my friends and family.
Quite frankly, I'll be highly upset if the hunt gets cancelled because of people that either aren't being fair and lying, or just any other reason. I enjoy mara for everything it has to offer.
Before people get mad at me, I'm not accusing anyone of lying or cheating, but that is the way this post read to me. It is obvious that the staff are overwhelmed at the moment, and there are a lot of items available all over the site. I be know it sucks, but if you just rebuy something you lost, it's no big deal. Honestly, I think I lucked out after the "meltdown". I ended up with more mp and items than I had before it happened. I'm just greatful that the staff was kind enough to give us everything they did.
I spoke my peace. Hopefully this situation doesn't ruin the fun for the rest of mara.
The only thing I ended up missing was my Koob, but dangit, it was only 200k in the shops, so I just re-bought it instead of overworking the poor, poor staff for something like that!
@Everyone -- Please don't be selfish, and consider the hard work the staff are putting in to keep this site alive!
gosh guys, stop flooding staff with so many unnecessary support tickets... 500+ a day? i don't want the EEH canceled :( i lost a lot in the marapocalypse (im sure), but i will never fully know now what i lost, and its OKAY because i was WELL compensated for everything, and got back everything important to me. cant y'all look on the bright side  other people are gonna suffer on mara now lol
I agree that those who are being greedy should tame it down. I know that I'm missing some things like avatars, amongst other things, but I didn't feel the need to try to send support tickets for those because I don't even remember what ones I got during that time frame and don't want to waste staff member time on all that. I wish some people weren't so greedy with stuff like that.
