13th Jun 2018 10:45 STAFF: THANK YOU FOR THE COMPROMISE!!
I AM JUST LOOKING IN EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY TO GET MY HUSBAND A LIVER.
Hello everyone,
I know this is an unusual place to post something of this nature, however I am searching for my husband. He has been suffering the last 2.5 years of liver disease for a fatty liver. Also known as NASH.
Just to clear some things up because there is a stigma to those who have liver disease, my husband is not an alcoholic nor does he drink on occassion. In the 24 years we have been together, I seen him drink 1 time. Also, We are not in this to buy/sell an organ as that is illegal in the USA.
My Grant is at end stage liver disease. He will not live without a Living Organ Donor. A living liver donor donates a piece of their liver and it is put into the recipient. The liver is the only organ that will regenerate/regrow.
We are asking for potential donors to come forward and sign up to help save his life. The age requirements are 18-54 years old (you cannot be one day over 55 years old) and in general good health. You do not have to live in my state of Pennsylvania, nor do yo have to be from the USA. Just be willing to travel as the surgeries will take place in the USA.
If you may be interested in helping please please Maramail me for details on What a living liver donor is how you can help!
I want my husband to live!! I will do what ever I can to find him a living donor.
Please find it in your heart to help by signing up.
Thank you so much for your time, thoughts and prayers.

*+*+*A Peek-A-Boo Return to Mara!!*+*+*

29th Aug 2017 04:54 So a friend from Mara told me on FB that Mara was a teenager and I should stop by!
I have been gone since Easter, so I have TONS to catch up on. I dropped a few bucks in AUs. I still need to spend more... Ian should be happy lol.
Anyway if anyone cares, I have been busy taking care of my husband, who is ill with liver disease. He also went into renal failure a few weeks ago and I had to dial 911 which was frightening. But he is better now. Other wise we have been spending most of our time with family, because that is most important. That did not leave a lot of room for Mara. However, since school is back in session, I may find myself with some freetime . I only hope to build a herb garden in my kitchen in the next few weeks, so that shall be interesting, seeing as I do not have a green thumb. Lol
Anyway, I could ramble on and on, because that is what I do.
I have lots to catch up on.... To much... Expensive too much... Time to spend!

5th Nov 2016 12:08 Everyday when I awake, I am given a renewed gift. His name is Grant. He is my very best friend, my confidant, my hero and my sanctuary.
We have not had the perfect life. We are just like everyone else who struggles day to day. We have been through everything a couple can possibly go through in our nearly 24 years together. Life, death, sickness, and health, richer and poorer, there even was a time of infidelity too that we worked through together. The point is, even when times were hard we bonded tighter. We talked about our problems. We worked together through each other's weaknesses and that made us stronger!
I have lived with Grant longer than anyone else in my life. I love him like no other person will or ever can. And I can honestly say he feels the same about me.
This year, 2016 has been bittersweet for us. We had many changes in our life. Some good and some not so good. I know the good things in our life are a direct result of his illness. He bought me a new home, car, furniture because he wanted me cared for in case something happens to him. I hate that he feels this way but I love him even more. He is not in any danger of leaving me soon, however his heart was in the right place.
I love this man more than I can put into words. My life has been made better just by his being a part of it.
Everyday I am given a renewed gift. He is my husband.
