A nameless pharaoh is said to have sold his soul to a dark power in exchange for unlimited knowledge. Following the pact, he obsessively wrote extensive reports on every subject imaginable, centuries before their discovery. Ultimately, his writings devolved into bizarre, incoherent descriptions of an apocalypse. In a fit of madness, he burned all of his work and left only one scroll untouched.

The last scroll contains illustrations of anatomical structures of beasts with worm-like tendrils and uncountable eyes. One is shown cradling the earth within its vague limbs.
