Long story short, Pattycake discovered it lounging in a pool during one of her jungle explorations.

Once Pattycake was able to convince it she wasn’t a threat, they got to talking and really hit it off.

Pattycake offered to take Knob back with her if she could successfully transport it out of water. Knob explained it would not be safe despite wishing to go, and Pattycake promised to come back for it when she could.

The mermaid waited and waited…A few months passed and the aquatic jessup languished, for it feared such a day would never arrive. It began to think of its land dwelling jessup friend quite often.

But eventually its wait was over, as Patty had returned as promised with a magical artifact in tow that could provide lasting water for her friend.

Now Knob is a permanent resident of the communal living space.

The two jessup are in love and have no problem maintaining a healthy relationship.
