PrimalYoshi is not this creature's real name, but a nickname coined by the eternally geeky Kurodansu, who noticed the resemblance he holds to a much-loved video game character. His true name is nothing more than a collection of jumbled letters and values.
He appears to be an AI of sorts, using a corrupt sprite from an arcade machine, and adopting the male pronouns of his legitimate namesake to give himself a physical form. However, various glitches and errors mean that he can only communicate through a complex language of beeps and chiptunes, which so far is only understandable to the scientist, Geonosis.
Although he appears to have inherited a friendly personality, his appetite is far more alarming, extending not only to hostile forces, but those with good intentions, and even inanimate objects. It appears that he has no control over this ability, much like the regular phasing, and static expulsion that prevent most people from getting close.
Thus, Geonosis has become a caretaker of sorts, frequently delving into his code in an attempt to negate these dangerous powers.
