We successfully completed Server Maintenance this week without any downtime. The main PHP server nodes in our cluster have increased from 17 to 26. All have been upgraded and MaraPets is now running faster and more stable than ever. If you haven't noticed a difference, that's great too as visitors to the site have been twice as many as last month and we're running great. Thanks to all of our supporters who help to keep us open!

A new set of limited edition Halloween items are now on sale at the Account Upgrades Shop. They will all automatically retire November 20th.

Our Maraween Character Trick or Treat has just started. It will end automatically on November 15th. To take part in Character Trick or Treat, all you need to do is dress your character up in an approved Halloween Character Costume, . Then you can visit the profile of any player that is currently online, hit the Trick or Treat button and receive a prize every time! You can only Trick or Treat each person once per day and you will receive MP or an item. All of these item prizes will retire at the end of this event too!

A new Maraween Pumpkin Hunt has just started for 2018. It will last until November 21st. As you browse and play the site as normal, check out every page for a Pumpkin in a box. When you find it, click it and you may get a prize! These prizes are listed below. You may also win a Pastel Costume! The 250 different players who collect the most pumpkins will receive 1,500,000MP and a limited edition Possessed Ian Trading Card. The next 250 will just get a Possessed Ian Trading Card.

This year, 10 random players who will collect 100 pumpkins or more will win £10, 15 will receive £5 and 20 players will receive £2 Account Upgrade Credits!

All you need to take part is a pet wearing a Halloween, Mad Scientist, Nefarious, Bug, Skeleton, Ghost, Cursed, Witch, Dark, Zombie, Wizard, Voodoo, Phantom, Goblin, Rotten, Midnight, Insideout, Gothic, Eleka, Killer, Headless, Mutant, Mummy, Werewolf, Nightmare, Monster, Poison or Devil costume. These prizes will retire when the Elger Trick or Treat ends November 13th.

The Eleka Costume was first released in January 2007 in Account Upgrades and the costume has been retired and forgotten about ever since. A new version of the Eleka Account Upgrade has been released, with 7 new Eleka themed items and either a Eleka coloured Snookle or Bolimo Enchanted Plushie. This AU will retire December 5th.




The Addow, Astro, Bolimo, Dakota, Feliz, Gizmo, Justin, Kronk, Lati, Rusty, Snookle and Straya can now wear the Eleka Costume.




Twelve of the oldest and worst Eleka pets have been updated to match the new style.

Back again for 2018 Maraween! The Enpiah Alien was trick or treating in Undying Woods last night and was bitten! Until November 15th, the Halloween Alien has new items that he will put up for Auction for only 1MP. These items will retire at the end of the event. If you are really lucky, you may catch a very rare or retired Halloween item! There are 4 new prizes for 2018.

Our first Maraween event has started. The Pot of Gold has been magically transformed into the Pumpkin of Gold. Until November 12th, only Halloween Treats can be donated. You can pick up one item from the Pumpkin of Gold every 5 minutes. New prizes will be donated randomly throughout the day.

Today is the 13th... a favourite number of a certain Halloween devil. Beelzebub has been seen lurking around the site again. We all know how much Beelzebub loves Halloween. As usual Beelzebub has all sorts of Halloween goodies to give away to members who are getting into the Halloween spirit and have a halloween-themed character or profile. There are 6 new prizes for 2018 and Beelzebub will also be giving out limited numbers of retired prizes from previous years.




You dont have to have a Halloween costume for your character, just use your imagination and dress your character in some appropriate clothes and makeup to make yourself look appropriately spooky - just be creative!

Although this is mostly a forums-based event, there will also be prizes rewarded randomly to members who are online and have something spooky about their profile, so you may still win something even if you dont have forum access.

A new Carpenter Treasure Map is now on sale for BP at Rapunzel's Tower. Collect and complete all 16 pieces for FREE lifetime access to a new Carpenter quest that will be released in Foxfire Forest later this year. The map pieces can be used as toys but you will not be able to complete the map until the Carpenter quest is released.

There are 3 new Giftbox items now on sale at the Giftbox Shop. The Dukka Dash Giftbox allows you to play every 15 minutes instead of 30, the Bootleg Pyramid Giftbox allows you to visit every 4 hours instead of 8 hours and the Double Hieroglyphic Giftbox will give you double Hieroglyphic items at the University for life!


Wanted Ads have been updated. The layout has been improved and looks similar to the Trades layout. When you view Wanted Ads for a specific item, the highest MP price will now show at the top. Wanted Ads will also now automatically cancel after 90 days or when a player's account is banned. When a new item is re-released in Account Upgrades we may now cancel all Wanted Ads for this item if we think that the price will become a lot lower.

The One in a Million game in Lush Lake has been updated. This FREE to play game gives you the chance to win 1,000,000MP. Now if you guess incorrectly, you still have a chance to win a prize! There are 97 new Millionaire Plushies and Enchanted Millionaire Plushies for you to win from this game!

Baspinar's Castle world map has been updated. The inside and upstairs of the castle have been removed and everything has been placed into one map. You can see below the difference between the day and night versions of the map. This map was one of the original world maps and was over 13 years old. We hope you like the changes!

Your Attic has two new features. You can now browse all items from a certain location/event or you can view all retired items in your Attic.

There were 7 pets that were missing Dips, Enchanted Dips and Essences. These have now been released.


The Witch Doctor has been updated. Just like the Hotel, you can now hire the Witch Doctor for up to 1 year of protection. Prices start at 10RP for the first day and 5RP for each additional day.

Clubs have lots new features and improvements. Here are some of the changes:

Club Ranks now show at the top of your club so you can see your current rank name and position. Club Leaders can now limit the Club Raffle, Quiz, Shop and Swaps to a certain Club Rank and higher. You can use this feature to prevent new club members joining to take part in these features and then leaving.

Club Points can be reset for all Club Members now. There is also the option to reset, remove or award Club Points to a specific member of your Club. There is also the option for the Club Raffle and Club Shop to be priced in Club Points instead of MP. This will be removed from their Club Points balance but will not decrease their Club Rank if they spend them all.

Club Galleries have the option for items to be centred, just like the normal Galleries.

Club Donations can now be disabled in Club Settings. Club Leaders now have the choice to stop any item or MP donations to the Club.

All Dakota and Tasi pets will receive DOUBLE STATS at the Gym and Elite Gym until October 17th.

All Pixel and Checkered pets will receive FREE TRAINING at the Gym and Elite Gym until October 24th.

And all Pixel and Checkered pets will receive FREE LESSONS at the School until October 24th.

The Arinya, Azul and Kronk can now wear the Sewers Costume and the Chibs and Newth can wear the Pixel Costume.

There are 12 Microwave Recipes for you to discover. Complete Microwave quests for the cooking time and you can try cooking the matching two items that will cook one of these new items. The new items include two Musical Instruments, a Stamp, three Wardrobe items and more!

Maraween season is fast approaching. For a limited time only, the retired Halloween Treasure Chest and Eleka Treasure Chest from 2015 are back on sale at the Account Upgrades Shop. They will both automatically retire October 15th.


The Addow, Crikey, Doyle, Grint, Huthiq, Justin and Leido can now wear the Sewers Costume.

The Sewer Pipes in the City Sewers has been updated. All players that have completed the Sewer Pipes Treasure Map and have access to this feature can now use the new and improved Sewer Pipes. The MP payouts have been increased and you can now earn between 1 and 3 Gym or Elite Gym Stats. There are 16 new Sewers Plushies and 89 new gourmet Minipet Poop items that can only be won from here.

Another new prize is that your pet may receive between 15 and 59 minutes of Battle Immunity for your pet. This happens right away and will give your pet a defence shield that will deflect any attacks your pet will receive in the Battle Arena allowing you to win battles against even the hardest opponents!

A new weekly Loyalty Raffle has been released. Mara enters you into a FREE Progress Raffle every day that you visit us. Visit us every day of the week and you receive 8 raffle tickets. You will be entered into either a Bronze, Silver or Gold raffle depending on what level you have progressed to. Winners are announced every Friday - with the first raffle winners being announced tomorrow.


The Plushie Machine can now be visted every 10 minutes if you are  Level 50 or higher or every 13 minutes if you are  Level 25 or higher. If you are below Level 25 the standard 15 minutes remains.

Restocking from shops that reward you RP based on the rarity of an item you purchase will now give DOUBLE RP if you are  Level 25 or higher. This DOUBLE RP stacks again if the shop is currently with the 'Double RP Today' promotion.

Memory Points are earned at 1 Memory Point for every item you delete. Now, if you are  Level 50 or higher you will earn 2 Memory Points for every item you delete.

The Marapets Progress feature has 25 new levels for you to complete. You can now complete a maximum of 75 levels. There are also two new item prizes to be won at Level 60 and 70 - a new Fade Costume and Mara Stamp. Your level is shown on your profile and when you post on the Forums, Club Chat or MaraTalk and there will be many features and benefits added in the future where a higher level will be worthwhile!


The Chibs, Doyle, Equilor, Grint, Ideus, Justin, Kujo, Phanty, Straya and Ushunda can now wear the new Fade Costume.

We have revamped, updated and released over a thousand Plushies and Enchanted Plushies. These new items can now be won from Missions, the Enchanted Plushie Machine and the Plushie Machine. We will be focusing on the costumed versions of these Plushies next. We hope you like the changes!

The new and improved Clubs have now been released. There have been lots of improvements and changes and a ton of new features have been added. Here are some of the changes:

Club Shops now have all of the same functions of User Shops. This means that you can use Check Price and the Auto Price (if you have the Giftbox). You can make it only show items that are not priced and you have the option to price items at 25%, 50% or 75% off the lowest price on the Shop Search.

Club Gallery has been added as a new feature. Any items that are donated automatically go to the 'Club Items' for you to price in your shop. If you do not want to sell them, you can move them to the Club Gallery for display or storage.

Club Newsletters are also a new feature. You can send a Maramail once every 24 hours to ALL of your active club members! This is a great way to keep your members involved in the Club and all of its events.

Club Chat now allows you to tag club members with the @username tag. Club leaders also have the option now to allow or disable club members from double posting in the club chat.

Club Points is a brand new optional feature where your club members can earn club points from being active in the club. You have total control over how many Club Points are earned and from what. Club Points can be earned every time a member posts on the Club Chat, donates items or MP, votes in the poll, takes part in the club quiz, etc. You can also set Club Point requirements for each Club Rank so that club members will increase their Club Rank automatically when they reach the Club Points amounts that you set.

Club Logs now show for Club Leaders and club members with this permission to see when a player joins, leaves or when their Club Rank is automatically increased. This should help you to ban club members who join, take part in events and leave or congratulate and/or reward club members who earn enough club points to increase their rank.

Club Swaps are another new feature. You can move any Crystals, Diamonds, Photos or Plates donated to your club to the Club Swaps and members can swap any item like for like. For example, they can swap any Photo in their Inventory for any Photo in the Club Photo Swap. There is also a setting for any of these items donated to the club to automatically go into Club Swaps instead of Club Items.

Club Raffles are another new feature. Any item not priced in the Club Shop or Gallery can be selected as a prize for the Club Raffle. Club Raffles are a way for you to sell between 1 and 10 raffle tickets to each Club Member for up to 99,999MP per ticket. This MP will go into the Club Till. You can also set how you would like the Club Raffle to automatically finish and select a winner - when a certain amount of tickets are sold (maximum of 999 tickets) or after a certain time limit. If the Club Raffle is free to enter, members can only have one raffle ticket each.
