Just wasnt happy about having to come up with such a long password and it keeps saying I'm unverfied. I would think being here since 2006 I should be verified by now

i rather take time out and change my pw .i write it down,since i got many to remember. besides whats couple minutes to make a new pass ? than come here and find ones account hacked and all the work down the crapper ? .all chill and change pass.make it hard and all be good.thank you staff for all the work ,you doing and Ian.:like:

@SlayerWolf This may be weird to ask, but you made sure to click on one of the verification links in preferences after changing your password, right?
Asking in case because when I had to re-verify the first time (on the 14th) I was assuming initially the change password with the email in there would do it. :P


Aw. And I definitely mentioned it being annoying changing my password, but no doubt you guys have it worse with the mess clean up [i]and[/i] having to manually verify anyone still having trouble.
I don't even want to know the ticket/email count now haha. Make sure you still get sleep and stuff!
And hopefully what was done now makes it better for everyone.

I work for a state department and we have the same password requirements O_o

I'm thankful for the new password requirements because I know they'll make our accounts more secure. I'm sad to think there were users who didn't change their passwords to something new and unique after the last round of accounts were compromised.

@Pretty yup had to reverify 3 times after the password change once i got the new password to stick hopwfully this time is last this happens

I appreciate that there's a post on the news this time instead of having to look through the forums.

It does feel a little inconvenient cause I forgot my password a little while ago and verifying took several tries the other times. I don't like to sign up for most sites if I don't have to for the purpose of not having so many passwords that I would have to write them down. Writing down or saving a list of passwords isn't secure to me.

I suggest listing the requirements on the create/change password page in a way that each requirement is checked off when the it's fulfilled so no one has to constantly redo it cause a character is off or something

I have enough problems remembering all these password you keep forcing us to change. Soon it is going to get to the point were I will all out forget it and can not even get into my own account, as I wont remember all 4 passwords I am using now.

Hopefully this is the last time, as I am running out of password I will actually remember.

I agree with previous posts. If you can see that our previous passwords and current are similar, then hackers can too and that is unsettling.

Please keep our information safe.
