Roleplaying culture

I think that if we break away from the typical 'beautiful, white-skinned females' in our roleplays we would have a whole new world of plots open to us.
There are so many interesting cultures out there that are different from our own and have a roleplaying potential. All a plot like that would need would be a little research to get it off the ground. Of course, all would have to be set slightly in the past, to their traditional roots; with world-wide travel and technology these days, unique culture is being lost.
I have done some quick research and typed up a list of interesting cultures that one could roleplay, along with plot ideas for that culture. Feel free to use them, they are here for that purpose; just give me credit, please. ^.^
OR ELSE. D:<
*Native American tribes* - ceremonies, hunts, totem poles, moccasins, etc.
Plot ideas: [The ???white men??? coming for the first time; trading, peace alliances, betrayal, etc]. [Wars/competitions between the tribes; but one would have to be very careful of violence content here]
*African tribes* ??? body painting, headsman, ???magic??? and beliefs, headdresses, ceremonies, drums, etc.
Plot ideas: [Being captured for slavery] [New ideas being introduced to their traditions by ???outsiders???] [boys and girls being trained to be the ???shaman???]
*Japan* - I am /not/ talking about the ???anime??? kind. Traditions, such as kimonos, pretty fans and parasols, rice, sushi, etc.
Plot ideas: [Girls rebelling against pretty ???doll??? image],
*China* - Flat, cone-shaped hats; silks and teas; powerful images concerning dragons, Dragon Festival, emperors, etc.
Plot ideas: [Powerful, cruel emperor] [Merchants, transporting teas and silks to other lands]
*North Korea* - Mix of Chinese, Japanese, and unique culture; dictatorship
Plot ideas: [rebelling against country leaders] [trying to leave North Korea; (it is strictly controlled/forbidden) to start a new life in North America]
~~I may add to this over time as a new and interesting culture catches my interest.~~
