Because I feel its worth noting!

The only ones I have who are NOT rw/rn are Cheesesnake, DetectiveTravis and Oscar2024. The former was pulled from the pound as a lightly started feliz, before being made into what he is and worked on. Oscar is named for my baby son who I had in September. Cheesesnake, well, I needed a name for a cheese Poera. I have since obtained Dudunsparce, which is the name of a bug Pokémon. Avadan was pulled as a ghost Figaro from the pound.

Right, onto the real names!!! Clearly I have a fascination for reptiles lol.

ACANTHOPHIS: Genus of snakes. Death adders. Do not let the name fool you, they are NOT a viper like true adders are. These are elapids (fixed fangs).

AVADAN: A town in Russia, a name used in Buddhist literature, and also brand name for a medication (Lorazepam).

CHELODINA: Genus of freshwater turtles. This includes the oblong/snake necked turtle. I have one, her name is Swim Shady.

DEFAULTED: Word that means failure to make a repayment on a loan. Just one of the definitions. Pulled from pound as a slightly started Zoosh.

DEMANSIA: Genus of snakes, includes Australia’s common tree snake.

DUDUNSPARCE: Bug Pokémon!

DUGITE: One of Australias most common venomous snakes. Had the pleasure to handle one named Kelly who was light pink and inspired this pet.

HYDROPHIINAE: Group that covers Australian sea and terrestrial snakes.

JOHNSTONI: Crocodylus was taken, so I went a bit more specific. Crocodylus Johnstoni are freshwater crocodiles.

MEDICATIONS: Dont need to explain this one. Found making it a zombie funny.

NOTECHIS: snake genus that covers tiger snakes. Note the costume.

OENPELLI: A no longer valid name for a location in Australia, though still used in the name of an animal - the OENPELLI python.

OXY*: Taipans. *Filter catches the name.

PETHIDINE: High strength painkiller. Similar to morphine.

PSEUDECHIS: Australian black snakes.

PSEUDONAJA: Australian brown snakes. Includes Dugites (PSEUDONAJA AFFINIS)

SKEEZER: Another pound pull. Just found name interesting. Apparently means someone with low morals.

TILIQUA: Genus of lizards including blue tongue skinks, and their cousins the shingleback/bobtails. Bobtails are often called sleepy lizards. Note the costume.

TYLAND: Tyland Lannister from GOT.

WAGYL: The rainbow serpent from indigenous Australian mythology.

VERMICELLA: Genus of snakes, includes the Bandy Bandy. A super cute animal with a very silly defence mechanism that I find HILARIOUS.

Likely more to come.
