ATM 2.0 Secret Santa 2021
2 years, 11 months & 14 days ago
2nd Dec 2021 20:03 Registration is now closed! Participants have been sent a list of who to send to.
Secret Santa is one of my favorite club events
To register please mail me telling me that you want to participate.
If you participate you MUST send your present to your Secret Santa person no later than 12/31. If you do not send your present then the person will not receive one, and that is highly unfair to them. Not only that but you will be added to my naughty list and will not be allowed to participate again for at least three years.
How does Secret Santa work?
First you must register. Registration is open until December 16. To register simply mail me telling me you want to participate, and promise to send a present to your person.
On December 16 or 17 (my birthday is the 17th so it might be the 16th) after registration is closed I will use a random generator to choose who you give a gift to. You can send any gift you like (if it's an expensive gift please do send in a support ticket to make sure it's ok with staff!) or a few gifts that add up to 250k mp or more. Please do realize that if you send an expensive ub gift you may not get one back that's equal value. Your gift you give may be either higher or lower value than the gift you get.
You may send your present at any time after you get your person's name, however the best time may be close to Christmas. You do not have to mail me to tell me you sent your present. If you do not receive a present from your secret santa by December 31 please do mail me to let me know! Sometimes people forget and I will send a reminder mail to whoever was supposed to send to you. Please do mail the person you send to telling them you are their secret santa when you send your present, that way there's no confusion!
How to know what to send
This is the part a lot of people have problems with. Sure you can pick anything and send it, but of course you want to send something that people can use or actually want! How do you know what that might be without coming out and asking the person? Well that's not too hard.
Look through their wishlist.
Many people have items they want on their wishlist. If everything is too high in price you may want to try to find something that's not on their wishlist though. (Also please do update your wishlist if you participate!)
Look through their gallery to see what they collect.
Looking through a gallery often shows what someone collects and might give you a good idea of what to buy for them.
Look through their collections to see what they may need.
Look at their blogs.
A lot of people have lists of things they're hoping to trade for in their blogs.
