Best Day of My Life!

I rested in the backseat of our trusty van, gazing out the window boredly. We had been traveling quite awhile, as to be expected when you're moving to a different state. My heart felt a bit heavy as I thought back on my life in Texas, I remember romping around the backyard in search of frogs, bugs, or anything that crawls for that matter. [I was about three as all of this occurred.]
Just then, I heard my parents call my name, beckoning me to look out the window. In the distance I saw breath-taking, majestic structures if nature. Mountains, they said. We were in Colorado now after all.
We drove into these mountains and up the winding road, eventually taking a turn into the coniferous woods. I rolled down the window, sticking my head out, smelling the crisp air. This place was so different from Texas. The weather was much more tame, and the scenery was gorgeous! Wildflowers dotted the swaying fields of golden grass. Large birds of prey circled over traveling herds of deer. These animals were unfamiliar to me at the time.
We eventually pulled into the driveway of our new home. It was a lovely place. Though it was quite bare as we readied ourselves for unpacking, it would be a place soon to be filled with countless precious memories.
The best day of my life was the day we moved into the mountains of Colorado.
We spent several years of our lives there, but, due to complications with my father's job, we were forced to move to a dull city within Nebraska where I live today. A single day hasn't passed where I haven't dreamed of my life back in Colorado. It was truly a beautiful experience.
