Cats gazed around the silvery pool. Dozen???s of cat???s eyes stared into the chilled, black water. A white she-cat meowed, ???Where are we going to go???? The dark black tom with the bright golden eyes met her gaze and meowed, ???Wherever seems best.??? His gazed turned back to the water, the other cats followed his. Orange, amber, yellow, blue, green eyes all shown in the reflection of the pool. Three cats with piercing yellow eyes looked up at him, the long-furred, gorgeous, fluffy tabby she-cat stood up and meowed, ???Shadow, you must decide for us all. We follow you now; because our own shelter got torn down. We need you now. But where will we go???? A black tom with white paws stood up, he also had piercing yellow eyes like his sister, ???Shadow, the moon is at it???s fullest. It???s time.??? A short-haired, muscular tabby tom stood up, he meowed, ???Everyone, back away. It???s only the time for Shadow.??? Every cat backed up and a lightning strike flew out of the sky and hit him. The flash of light came, and then disappeared. All was dark. The white she-cat meowed, ???Shadow???? A tree snapped and fell down, making a crackling noise as it fell. The moon shone bright again as a huge dark shadow took the place of the tree. Shadow???s eyes glowed even brighter than before, a white line over one of his eyes. He padded toward the cats with a crooked smile on his face. He looked around, and leaped high into the sky, landing gracefully on a boulder. He looked at the cats and yowled, ???We are the Shadow Lions.???
