It is the middle of the night when he hears it. The scratching. Doctor David curses as jolts awake from where he was supposted to be on watch. Looking around the dark bus, he sees that all of the teenagers are still sleeping soundly...was it his imagination? Doctor David exhales a breath, running his hand through his balding hair with frustration. He couldn't believe that they were in this situation...sleeping in a bus and hiding from them...the undead. When the alert first sounded that a top secret government experiment had gotten out of control, no one took it seriously. But when the 'subjects' started to escape...and the plague started to spread, people were suddenly almost slapped out of their daze. So now almost everyone in the country was affected that Doctor David knew of. He was able to save some teens that he found just huddled in a sewer...hiding. They had found this bus and made it a temporary home, being able to drive from place to place easily. It was the middle of the night and they were still asleep, so it had to be his imagination. Doctor David leaned back in the drivers chair and sighed, his imagination, sometimes! There was silence for a few moments when he heard something...the scratching again. Freezing, he looked to his left slowly, seeing the hideous face of a zombie, looking straight at him with its soulless eyes. Time to move, quick. The windows weren't bullet proof...and where there was one zombie, there were many. It was just a matter of time before- A screech filled the silent night and Doctor David roared the bus to life as dozens of undead bodies crashed against the side of the bus, hungry for the living.

Name: Doctor Edgar David
Age: 61 (because he's the only 'adult' out of all the teens
Gender: Male
Looks: He has greying brown hair and wears retangleish glasses. A white lab coat is always present because that was the only clothing he managed to escape with, directly from his lab. He has a slight stubble on his cheeks and chin from not being able to shave in a while. Doctor David is reletively skinny and tall, around 6 foot.
Personality: He is a calm natured person and doesn't get mad easy, though he does with lots of frustration. Doctor David is pretty blunt and is reletively brave. He tries to stay calm and brave for the teens when inside he is a nervous wreck.
Back Story: He was working in his lab when the outbreak got so severe and zombies started to bust through the windows. At the time he was trying to find a cure for the outbreak and his lab was one of the first targeted. With no wife and children, it made it easy for him to run away with nothing but a bus that he was able to hot wire on the street. On the way out of town, he finds all the teens clustered and afraid.

Looks: Curly, light brown hair that sometimes doesn't want to behave and can frizz up. She has a light skin complexion and is average height for her age. Light freckles dot her cheeks and black studs are what she wears for simple earrings. She also has a sliver necklace of miscelanious charmss. Most of the time she wears darker jeans and a clingy, purple top. Dark blue Chucks are always on her feet.
Personality: She is brave and usually pretty easy going. Sometimes if you get snotty with her she will get snotty right back, but other than that she is pretty calm. Shelby always takes on a challenge and tries to seem fearless, though she isn't on the inside. Keeping her emotions to herself, she is easily hurt because of what has recently happened.
Back Story: She was going out to skate with her two guy friends, Astin and Gayle when the outbreak really started. They were able to escape and luckily were found wandering the streets by Doctor David, who Shelby greatly admired.
Other: She always carries a little knife in the pocket of her jeans to 'slay some zombies' if needed. Now, after what happened, she isn't so eager to kill zombies anymore...
Name: Astin Harlin
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Looks: Almost black hair with pale greenish eyes. He is releively pale and always has on his black jacket and cargo pants, along with a navy blue, graphic t-shirt. Astin always has his Ipod on him, one of the only things he has left. Like Shelby, he has a pair of Converse with dark blue laces.
Personality: He is like any normal guy, feelings kept to themselves. Though he does try to be nice to everyone he meets. Shelby is pretty much his best friend and he will do anything for her. He is also fiercely protective and is a good fighter.
Back story: Same as Shelby's pretty much. He comes from a family where his parents are divorced and he lives with his mom most of the time.

You (the human) have just moved to California with your mom. Your mom has bought an old house that was built in the 1840's as a boarding house. You have moved away from your aparment in New York City after your dad died of a heart attack. Ever since you were small, you have seen ghosts. You must keep this ghost seeing to yourself, and it is your biggest secret. You are whats know as a mediator. You can speak, touch and your favorite, beat up the dead. When you move in you meet a ghost that is reluctant to leave when you want him to. He was strangled in the 1850's and died in your back yard, his name is Jesse. Over the course of the first few weeks there, you become friends. You start school at a catholic school and meet Father Dominic, the headmaster and fellow mediator.

Looks: She has long brown hair and blazing emerald green eyes. She is a medium sized girl for her age and is very slinder, but still strong. Heather wears lots of black and trys to blend in most of the time. You will most find her wearing a purple top, a black skirt or jeans, and a black leather jacket with boots. Heather is always wearing a key necklace that her mom gave her. She likes to leave her hair down most of the time but sometimes she puts it up in a ponytail.
Personality: She is normally calm and is sometimes not very friendly. She is not all that outgoing, but she will talk to them if necessary. Heather will get irritated if you are not understanding her, if you are she is nice to talk with.

Name: Gideon Age: 17 Gender: Male Species: Vampire ( he is a vampire hunter) Species Age: 115 Power: He can track exeptionally well
Looks: Gideon is tall and slender, but he still is strong. He has black hair and bronze eyes that glow in the dark almost. Gideon has a scar on his forhead that is almost hidden by his ear length hair. He often wears a black button up dress shirt with the sleaves rolled up to his elbows and a black leather jacket. For pants, he wears black jeans and black motorcycle boots.
Personality: He is usually cold and hostile to most that he meets and is not a very friendly person to talk to unless your his friend. He is mostly negitive because of his harsh past life. Gideon is unsympathetic to vampires who he is about to kill, kindness in him is quite rare but sometimes you will see it.
Other: He wears a ring on his right hand that has a ruby in it, he has no idea where he got it but when he woke up, just from being born, it was there as would it always be. Gideon carries a bow on his back and arrows in his hand when he is hunting vampires. He lives in a small cabin in the woods outside of town. Teleportataion and tracking are his main talents. Looks: She has black hair that goes the the middle of her back. Sami has green eyes and she is short for her age. Sami has pale complexion and is skinny, but athletic. Sami often wears a grey pull-over hoodie and dark jeans or pants. She wears scuffed up shoes because she has no where to go, she is basically homeless.
Personality: She is very shy, which comes with being homeless, but when you get to know her is is open and nice. She is always looking out for others, especially her 10 year old brother Skyler. This character is used mostly for disaster rps or living underground, things like that. I will not usually play as Skyler but sometime I will.
Other: Sami carries a black Gap backpack with all of their supplies in it, extra clothes, some food, flashlight, batteries, a small knife for protection, a picture of Sami's parents, extra pair of shoes for each, a small pillow and some money. Looks: She has waist lengh fiery orange hair and bright emerald eyes. Kai normally wears jeans and some type of a blue t-shirt. She wears her mother's silver necklace chain everywhere along with her black tennis shoes. She is normal size for her age, not to tall, not to short. She appears mysterious and is normally not very much of an outgoing person.
Personality: Kai is the keep to yourself type, and she doesn't really like to meet new people. She is nice once you get to know her. Sometimes if you make her mad she can have a personality swing and go from nice to unfriendly. Other: Kai is gifted and has the power to read minds. Kai likes to get to know people through there mind and she doesn't usually talk.
