My Poem About Christmas
12 years & 18 days ago
4th Nov 2012 06:43 Christmas Time
The memory floats around in my mind,
Ever so clearly,
I remember everything,
Ever so dearly.
As the morning arrived,
I could hear carols being sung,
The crisp, white snow had fallen,
Christmas has begun!
I ran down the stairs and saw all my presents
They were placed neatly under the tree
The feeling of excitement was ever so pleasant
I watched the snowflakes fall outside my window so freely.
I wondered what it would be like to be a snowflake,
to travel from afar,
and land so softly on the ground,
and look like a glittery star.
I loved to build a snowman,
Put a carrot for a nose,
Buttons for the eyes,
and a scarf and hat for clothes.
I enjoyed the dinner too,
We had a large meal
Which was fit for Royalty
Then went out and built an Igloo
But as always the time came,
When your snowman perished,
Your igloo dissapears,
The flowers grow back, replenished
I wish I didn't have to grow up,
Now its clear to see,
You don't enjoy Christmas as much
When it's your money being spent freely!
