This is my third attempt at Blitzen (the first time I didn't realize I was searching for the wrong thing [] and the second time I was too poor), so wish me luck!
I would just like to point out that I see alot of people wearing the rags of a newbie (n-0-0-b is rather a rude, chatspeak word, FYI). Yes, 'tis a mark of solemn and often unflattering beginnings. However, I don't see the need for people to be all 'OMG, I just started! Can I please have the one pet you're not giving away even though you've yelled at eighty different people and you've made eight siggies about it? I mean, I'm NEWBIE! Doesn't that make me practically a god(dess)? You HAVE to feel sorry for me!' (I'm trying to give people an idea of the situation, here.) Congratulations on being a newbie! Go on and make a name for yourself on Mara! It honestly make me wonder: Do people think that everyone starts off with 10 million MP and eight LEs? I hate to break it to you, and, shocking as it may seem, no one's going to listen to your sob story (OMG, I startd lyk yestrday and I hav no $$$. Plz can I have 20 mil MP?) because we've all been there. Hate to crush your fantasy world, but earn something by YOURSELF. I know I speak the truth, and it may seem a bit harsh. But it's the truth. Deal with it.
I discovered this in a sleep deprived state while waiting for level 34's clue for the Undying Festival to appear.
If you /really/ think about it, it's better to stand behind someone, than beside them. If you're behind someone, you can catch them when they fall, takeover what they had started (think about the war formations of old--row of archer after archer, first line fires, goes back to reload, second line takes over). But if you're /beside/ someone, you can run away with a clearer conscience. Think about it.
Okay, I apologize if this bothers anyone, but I see alot of people offering horrible pets for LEs. This one person asked (not me), "My fasoro for your chibs?" No! Chibs are in 3.5mill+, while fasoros are only worth anything if they have a cossie or statted!
Tips for trading:
1. If you aren't sure about the value of your pet, ask someone or create a topic. 2. If you want a really high-valued LE (i.e. Viotto, Yuni {I'm assuming, seeing as the Fates missions are extremely difficult}, Quell, Mordo, Chibs, Sindi, etc.) work for it! Either work to get the few million that you need or stat you pet to make it worth an expensive LE. No one is going to take pity on you and give it to you. That's not how life works. Sorry. 3. Obviously, give your pets a good name. No one's going to want a pet named "Smells_like_feet." 4. If people say they MIGHT trade, that means that they may not and you'll just have to respect they're decision. 5. If people say they aren't trading, then they AREN'T trading! Nothing you have will make them change their mind (shocking concept, I know). 6. Trading does NOT mean giving! If someone says they are trading a Bronze Viotto (random example; it just popped into my head), don't post "My sister wants one for her birthday; may I please have it?" That's great that you're getting your sister a viotto for her birthday, but no one knows your sister and therefore doesn't really care, I'm sorry to say. They'll probably tell you the same thing. 7. Don't tell someone that they can't trade the pet you're giving/trading them. It's THEIR pet and they can do WHATEVER THEY WANT. The pet is no longer yours (shocking concept, eh?) and they are not influenced by your decision . . . unless they wish to be.
