Memories of Dad
17 years, 2 months & 10 days ago
14th Sep 2007 09:38 Not to negate child abuse and the one going around on the journals, But showing my graditude today.
How well I do remember standing at my fathers knee,
And all the fun and happy times As he was raising me.
How well I do remember the love we always shared, All the things he said and did That showed he really cared.
How well I do remember the day God called him home, Dad slipped into His Loving Arms And I felt so much Alone.
Now my heart will carry memories of the love he gave to me, Until we meet again in Heaven Where the best is yet to be.
My father was moved to Omaha in June to a hospice house that was the hardest time of my life. Cause for the past 14 years since my mom left us we were eachothers keepers.
I was in Omaha for 12 days camping staying in hotels all because my family and I were in a battle over me and my partner Denise doing all I knew how to do take care of dad.
See they were telling us he was no longer able to eat. I stayed as long as I could until the money for the month was gone and I went home knowing it was the lastime I would ever see him, That was the hardest day of my life cause at least when my mom died she was surrounded by those who loved her my brother and our friends. On July 14 at 7:34 am I was sitting down to the comp andd the phone rang. I told Denise dad is dead. I looked at the caller ID and it was the hospice house, They called to tell me my dad was gone. he was pronounced dead at 7:33 am
My mother died at 4:51 Pm Saturday January 15th 1994 how do I know that I was there. My dad died well he was pronounced dead at 7:34 am how do I know that cause he was all alone. So to me its not always the child whom is abused its the parent also my father never should have been in Omaha around so much family that did not even know him.
Its those who really know who you are who love you, but I know my dad is in the best place cause he is home with his one true love my mother and he will one day return to show me the way to my home with him and her. Blessed Ohh Yess I am Blessed
