The new Costumes Boutique today randomly selected the Anime Costume to be on sale today until midnight. This means that only one more AU themed costume will appear in the shop this month, at any random day before the month ends.

The Zombie Costume is the latest costume to be revamped. The Zombie Reese, Rusty, Sindi, Snookle, Speiro, Sybri, Tasi, Troit, Viotto, Willa, Yuni, Zetlian and Zoosh have been updated to the newer design.

The Wacky Workshop game in Enpiah now has 25 new High Score Rewards to be won each time you reach a high enough score in this game. Remember you will win the Level Rewards the first and only time you complete a level of a game and the high score rewards are won after this. Prizes include 25 new gourmet Brews and an Empty Brew that can be recycled.

These new drinks and any previous drink items that are named Brew now also have an Empty Brew trash item you will receive whenever your pet drinks these. These 'Empty' items can then be recycled for Recycle Points

There are also new Trophies for your profile for Wacky Workshop. Complete all 60 levels to earn a gold trophy. Complete level 55 for a Silver Trophy or level 50 for a Bronze Trophy. Once you have completed these levels, visit the game again and your trophy will automatically be added to your profile!

The Pyramid Solitaire and Triple Pyramid Solitaire games in the Kamilah Desert now have new bonus prizes that can be won at random. Some item prizes were previously won from our retired Klondike Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Free Cell and Blackjack flash games.

There are also 60 Mummy Plushies to be won - 30 from each game! You will win a random one of these items each and every time you complete a game of Pyramid Solitaire or Triple Pyramid Solitaire.



Both games also now have a new High Scores List

In 2017 we finally discontinued the Marahomes feature and all of the old Furniture and Appliance items became Toys. Over 70 of these items have now changed into these cute new pet Figurines. The full list of items that have changed is below. If you owned any of these items before they changed (or have added them to your collection) you still have these items, they have just changed to a new item!

King Baspinar hired thousands of clowns to make sure his Palladium Jubilee on February 22nd, 2020 was celebrated in style. Now they're out of work and are loyal to Queen Eleka, they are Evil Clowns that are terrorising Slater Park.

Using just your bat and a giant clown nose, knock over of the Evil Clowns and their wanted posters. The more clown noses you use, the less you will score. You must earn three stars to complete a level.

Our tenth level based Game has been released. Evil Clowns has 24 levels for you to complete. Earn 3 Stars to complete a level and you'll win the Level Reward Prizes. These are one time prize rewards you will win as a bonus prize for each level.


You can play Evil Clowns up to 3 times per day for FREE. Earn 1MP per 1 point. Earn up to the maximum of 2,000MP each play - if you complete a level with MP for its Level reward, you will receive the bonus MP too! You must send score to unlock the next level or it will not be saved. Game resets at 00:00MST.

The main item prizes for this game are retired Evil Clown items from the Undying Festival event in 2010 and a Capsule Machine Token. Another great prize for this game is the chance to skip any level of the Circus Mission.


There are 5 levels that you will earn this reward, they stack and will be saved to your account to use at the Circus whenever you need to.

The Spy Costume was first released in October 2010 in Account Upgrades and the costume has been retired and neglected ever since. It was never popular and we tried several different 'spy' options to revamp this costume - the Traps event was supposed to be a way to catch one of the King's spies. We already have Mafia, Detective, Ninja and a few other costumes that would be similar to any decent alternative to the spy costume and what does a spy look like anyway? A real spy wouldn't wear a spy costume, they'd want to be annonymous and blend in! We therefore decided to change this costume into the new Evil Clown Costume. This costume will be an approved Halloween Costume for next month's Trick or Treat event and Evil Clowns are coming to Marada....

A new Evil Clown Account Upgrade Set has been released, with 7 new evil clown themed items, a retired Evil Clown Costume (those who already owned a Spy Costume will now have an Evil Clown Costume instead) and either an Evil Clown Enchanted Plushie or Evil Clown Potion. This set is on sale until October 26th.

You can choose if you would like the main prize to be an Enchanted Evil Clown Plushie or Potion.There is 1 in 3 chance you will receive a limited edition Sybri instead of Bolimo, Doyle, Ideus, Reese, Renat, Speiro, Xoi and Yakubi.

The Mahjong game in the Kamilah Desert now has 3 new bonus prizes that were previously won from our retired Mahjong flash game that you can randomly win playing this game.

There are also 45 Mahjong Tiles to be won. You will win a random one of these items each and every time you complete a game of Mahjong. These items are toys that your pet can play with but will also be needed for a new Pyramid feature coming next year.

The Kamilah Codes game also has a new High Score List

A new Poera Prey feature has been released in Eleka's Castle. Complete the Poera Prey Treasure Map to permanently unlock this feature. You can then play this for FREE once every 16 hours.

This map is currently in the Devil themed Account Upgrades set.

Move around the floor of Eleka's Castle to eat as much of the fruit as you can. Eat the fruit for your score to increase and your Poera to get longer. Watch out for the other snakes as you are Poera Prey and they will get you! If the snakes bite the end of your Poera, the score and size of your Poera decreases. The higher your score, the more RP you will win!

Find and eat any of the special snake eggs that may randomly appear and you will win prizes from the Prize List. Prizes include gourmet Poera Meat, Poera Eggs and special one use Venom items.

You can equip and use one Venom item per pet, per battle and they will remove between 50HP and 1000HP from any opponent AND block their attack. This will help earn extra BP in a battle really help any players who are stuck trying to pass any Goals or earn any Hidden Avatars that require you to win a battle against a very hard opponent! These venom items and magnets from Gizmo Gravity game cannot currently be equipped for battle but will be later this month.


The game will end whenever your Poera is caught by a snake. Just like in Venomous Victory, a venomous attack will earn your pet a random transformation, without risk of it ever changing! Your pet will only change to a random colour and/or species and then change back. If you have the Pet Stats Giftbox in your collection, you can also select which pet will receive the transformations before you play.


There are also 33 new gourmet food Poera Meat and Poera Eggs you can win whenever you find and eat any of the special snake eggs that may randomly appear while playing this game.

The Red Panda Costume is the latest costume to be revamped. The Red Panda Doyle, Gonk, Lati, Walee, Willa and Xoi have been updated to the newer design. This costume was last released as a prize from the Thanksgiving Gobble War event in 2013 but will be released again as a prize for a new game.

The Word Shark game on Minipet Island now has 8 new Bonus Prizes and 3 old items previously won from our retired Fropa Attack flash game that you can randomly win playing this game.

There are also 32 High Score Rewards to be won. You will win one of these each and every time you reach a certain score - with prizes from a score as low as 200 up until those who manage to score 10,000 or more! Prizes for this game include a Shark Tooth Necklace and Visor for your wardrobe, Enchanted Injured Flab, Equilor and Paffuto Plushies, gourmet food, glowing egg and more!



The Mine Marada game also has a new High Score List.

With several of Queen Eleka's assassination plots revealed, it's clear to all now that she is still evil. King Baspinar is on high alert as her latest plot saw 145,014 Traps left around Marada. If he ever wants to leave his castle again, these traps must be found and removed!

A new Game has been released in Enpiah. Traps can be played for FREE once every 6 hours.

This new game is very similar to the classic game of Minesweeper. There are 330 squares in a grid and 70 of these contain traps. The more spaces you clear, the more MP you will win. The game will end if you find a trap. The jackpot, currently at 517,978MP, will keep increasing until a player manages to find all spaces that do not contain a trap!



You may also randomly win Charisma Stats for your pet. If you have the Pet Stats Giftbox in your collection, you can also select which pet will receive the charisma stats before you play.

 Level 32 or higher players will earn Double Charisma stats from Traps.

We'd like to apologise for MaraPets being offline for around 10 hours yesterday. As soon as it was bed time for us in the UK, the server company sent an email about a fault with their power supply. They had engineers working on the issue and they fixed it within 30 minutes. The problem for us is that MaraPets is very complex and is open 24 hours a day, only ever closed when we plan Maintenance and for the power to be switched off suddenly while over 800 players are playing and hundreds more 'guests' are browsing can cause issues.

Even though the servers were back online within 30 minutes, we were not happy with the way they came back online and through 16 years of experience dealing with every kind of problem imaginable here, we were not taking any chances! We stayed up through the night to reinstall five of the VMs (virtual machines) where the operating system was not performing the best or would only start in recovery mode and ran tests on all of the disks to make sure there we no issues. This obviously takes time and we opened as soon as we could, bringing back the most important parts of the site first. Without doing this, we could've opened sooner but if there were any problems, they'd still be there but could cause more serious problems later. We're back now and everything is up and running as normal.

Doyle, Equilor, Kaala, Quell and Zola can now wear the Devil Costume, which is currently part of the most recent Account Upgrades set.

All Devil pets will receive FREE TRAINING at the Gym and Elite Gym and FREE LESSONS at the School and University until October 1st.

Queen Eleka's most recent plot to overthrow the King has left 145,014 Traps all over Marada and innocent pets are being caught each day! Several pets, like the Basil, Huthiq, Kronk and Oglue were only Injured but others have been left Headless! This poor Sindi was caught in a Bear Trap left outside the School and this Xoi lost his head in an Ant Trap outside the Wig Shop! Marada just isn't safe anymore! Something needs to be done about these traps...

All Headless and Injured pets will receive FREE TRAINING at the Gym and Elite Gym and FREE LESSONS at the School and University until September 26th.

The Capsule Machine has been refilled with new items. The previous items released in June have now been retired.

Queen Eleka lost the Mini Pet Island war of 2007 and was locked up until 2012, when she proved she was no longer evil by rewarding citizens for their loyalty. Since her release, she has been secretly planning and launching attacks on King Baspinar's castle, determined to overthrow him. Recently her plots have become increasingly sophisticated. Over 85,000 enrolled and over 10,000 graduated at her secret Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry in June and her loyal minions left 145,014 Traps all over Marada to capture the King.

Queen Eleka's plan to capture him with a trap may have failed but it caught the Power Station workers and caused a Blackout all over Marada. She used the darkness to launch her first attack on King Baspinar's Castle. Now with even Beelzebub on her side, King Baspinar needs your help to Defend the Castle from attack!

Our ninth level based Game has been released. Defend the Castle has 18 levels for you to complete. Earn 3 Stars to complete a level and you'll win the Level Reward Prizes. These are one time prize rewards you will win as a bonus prize for each level.

BREAKING NEWS
As predicted, King Baspinar quietly left his castle last week. With several of his knights protecting him, he headed for the BP Bank to pay for the second phase of construction at the solid gold castle he is building for his pet Wallops. A Yellow Ant Trap left at the bank by ghostface caught one of the King's knights.
After over five months in lockdown the King was unrecognisable and the bank rejected his request, with staff requesting more information. He headed to the Town Hall to try and get identification needed for the Bank and a Basic Trap left by MommaCats seriously injured another of his knights. Identification here failed - another citizen of Marada is using his name!

The King then proceeded to the Salon and Bearber for a hair cut so he'd be more recognisable. While he was here, traps left at the Power Station caught workers and pushed Marada into a Blackout. A Purple Bug Trap left by Sloth at the Salon and a Green Bug Trap left by pickle233822 at the Bearber caught more of his army.

With four of his knights seriously injured, the King headed back to his castle for his own safety. Without power, the Salon was unable to dry his hair properly so he stood in front of the Windmill to dry it. His vanity caught another knight when a Black Wooden Trap left by Lark at the Windmill injured them. ghostface, MommaCats, Sloth, pickle233822 and Lark won a Goblin Decadal Potion.

With the King safely back in his castle and his Figaro, Hump, Kaala and Mordo knights now Headless he knew now that the evil Queen Eleka was back. He sent his knights to visit the evil Beelzebub where a Black Quality Trap left by Swetanew caught another knight. With Beelzebub announcing his loyalty to Queen Eleka, he warned the King to prepare for War.

The knights then visited the Telescope to see if the Queen's attack had started. With Marada in a Blackout they couldn't see a thing! An Orange Fly Trap left here by Hunnie injured another knight. On their way back to the castle, they stopped at the Old Fairy to give her their new Blackout Photos. She didn't believe there was a blackout since they had received more electricity bills than ever before! She suggested the knights just needed new glasses for night time and to eat more carrots, so they stopped by the Glasses Shop and Vegetable Shop.

A Yellow Trap left by PJCME at the Old Fairy, a Pink Trap Door left by annera at the Glasses Shop and a Brown Ant Trap left by Tiger at the Vegetable Shop injured three more knights. Swetanew, Hunnie, PJCME, annera and Tiger won an Enchanted Goblin Decadal Plushie. The Figaro, Hump, Kaala, Kujo, Limax, Lorius, Mordo, Newth, Nino and Paffuto now have the revamped Headless Costume.

The King then called his army back to his castle immediately! Queen Eleka has launched her first attack....

All players that have left traps at the BP Bank, Town Hall, Salon, Bearber, Windmill, Beelzebub, Telescope, Old Fairy, Glasses Shop or the Vegetable Shop will receive a full set of Bonus Prizes for each place they left a trap at. If a player left traps at all 10 places, they will receive 10 sets of bonus prizes. The following players also won these prizes:

A total of 145,014 Traps have been left at 455 different areas of Marada. Now we just need to wait for King Baspinar and his army to leave his castle....

The Daily Discount was updated today to fix an error for several players and we had to reset it for everyone. You can now visit it again but any discount that was enabled for today will reset.

The new Costumes Boutique today stock its first random Account Upgrades Costume. The Moonlight Costume is on sale there for £4 AU until midnight. This means that only one more AU themed costume will appear in the shop this month, at any random day before the month ends. Since this shop now is automatically run, there will not be news updates or reminders about when they appear (unless it fits with a current event).

Players who have the Price Order Giftbox in their Giftbox Collection now have access to another new feature in their Attic. You can view all of the items in your Attic that are currently wanted by other players at the Wanted Ads. It will show the maximum price a player is offering for the item there and your items will be sorted in price order.


There are new WEEKLY perks for Bronze, Silver and Gold Shield players of the Progress Goals. Every Saturday there is a news update showing the new, randomly selected perks available for week for all those who qualify.
These are new perks which can be selected at random from next week.

The traps left outside the Power Station have been cleared and the workers have returned. They are working their hardest to restore power to Marada and expect the Blackout to end at midnight.

The best thing about this unexpected Blackout is that the darkness has filled the skies with stars! This has helped the Stars Shop, now under new management, to update the last 33 items with old art to their new design.

Introducing the new and improved... Costume Boutique

The Costume Shop has been replaced with the new Costume Boutique. Over the past 16 years we've released over 7,000 different pet colours - 78 species of pet and 206 different costumes! The first item ever added to MaraPets was the Blue Costume and for the first few years of us being open, there were always some costumes in stock at the costume shop. Fast forward sixteen years and the shop is pretty much always empty and making it stock more items only crashes the prices, making the costume easier to get but no longer wanted. The 'restocking' shop model that works well for the other 100+ shops on here does not work well for Costumes.We have therefore changed the shop to the new Costume Boutique. It has all of the benefits of being random and rarer costumes showing up less often but now it will be a fixed price and accessible to all! There are 151 Costumes that have been added to the Costume Boutique, organised into 4 different groups - 19 Colour Costumes, 9 Standard Costumes, 9 Premium Costumes and 114 Account Upgrades Costumes. Every day, a new costume is randomly selected from the Prize List to be sold here for that day only.

One of these 9 Premium Costumes will be selected at random each month, to be on sale for one random day in the month for a fixed price of either MP BP or RP. You will only know what costume is on sale at the shop on the day you visit. You will not be told when a costume is back on sale here or if it will be on sale for MP, BP or RP. There are 9 Standard Costumes and four of these will be selected at random each month. Each of the four selected will be on sale for a different, random day of the month and will be sold for a fixed price of either MP BP or RP. There will also be new costumes in the future added to the Costume Boutique. There are also 114 Costumes there were released as Account Upgrades Sets over the past 16 years. Although we continue to release one or two Account Upgrade sets per month, releasing new costumes hasn't really been an option while there are SO many that aren't avaliable - it would take another 12 years+ to release them all again this way. To help with bringing some of these back automatically, the Costume Boutique also randomly selects two of these costumes each month to be on sale here for £4 Account Upgrade Credits. Each costume will only be on sale for one day of the month and this will be selected at random. This means that only 24 out of 114 of these costumes will be sold for only 24 of the 365 days in a year - it should still keep them rare and limited, without making them unattainable. Any day that a Premium, Standard or Account Upgrades Costume is not on sale at the Costume Boutique there will be one of 19 Coloured Costumes on sale instead. Like the Premium and Standard Costumes, the currency required will be randomly selected to cost MP BP or RP and the prices are fixed and shown on the Prize List.

The Memory game in Biala Mountain now has 6 new Bonus Prizes and 5 old items previously won from our retired Memory Pets and Marapet Keeper flash games that you can randomly win from playing this game.

A new High Score List with trophies for players who reach the highest score playing Memory has also been released.


There are also 29 High Score Rewards to be won. You will win one of these each and every time you reach a certain score - with prizes from a score as low as 2,500 up until those who manage to score 10,000 or more! Prizes for this game include the Memory Pets Soundtrack CD and Memory Pets DVD from the retired Memory Pets flash game, socks, stamp, glowing egg and gourmet food.

Prizes also include new Memory Card items. These are toys for your pet to play with but if you delete them they will earn 10 Memory Points to spend at the Memory Shop.
 Level 50 or higher players earn 20 Memory Points deleting each Memory Card item.



The Rune Rescue game also has a new High Score List.

The Vortex Park Diner has new gourmet minipet Waffles on the menu. Play Waffle Wobble during the famous All-You-Can-Eat Waffle Hour to win one of these delicious new Minipets! A new Temple will be released in Simeria in the future and it will ask for non-retired Gourmet Minipets (like these Waffles and Minipets wearing a soon to be released Ball of Fat Yarn) and Wild Minipets, so you can start collecting these if you want to be prepared for its release.


The Wallop can now wear the Lightning, Pixel and Sparkle Costume and the Feliz can now wear the Bootleg Costume. The Island Murfin has been updated to match the new style, completing all of the revamped pet art for this costume!

The Reunite game in Lowlyhood now has 37 new High Score Rewards to be won each time you reach a high enough score in this game. Remember you will win the Level Rewards the first and only time you complete a level of a game and the high score rewards are won after this. Prizes include Ink that are School supplies and new love themed plushies.

There are also new Trophies for your profile for Reunite. Complete all 40 levels of every episode to earn a gold trophy. Complete three episodes for a silver trophy or two episodes to earn bronze.

It's almost been four days of darkness in Marada since the Power Station caused a Blackout. Business at the Candle Shop in the Kamilah Desert has never been so busy! Wick has been so busy since her 2 for 1 Sale she has renovated her store and now has 31 new items that can restock in her shop.

It's been almost 48 hours since Queen Eleka ordered her minions to leave Traps around Marada and over 90,000 have been left. Five hundred of these were left outside the Power Station in the City of Marada, injuring workers and pushing the whole of Marada into darkness! Ziranek needs a lot of power to function as a modern city and it doesn't take long before huge, widespread errors occur. Connect every building in Ziranek with battery power as quickly as possible. Click each wire to rotate it, connecting all of the wires with the backup battery power. You will complete each level if you manage to light up all of the LED lights in the city before the time runs out.

Our eighth level based Game has been released. Blackout has 40 levels for you to complete. Connect all of the wires to the battery power, before the time runs out, to complete a level and you'll win the Level Reward Prizes. These are one time prize rewards you will win as a bonus prize for each level.
