Knutt Knight and Sumo Sally have had major changes. When you have complete 100 or less of these quests completed you will now be asked for the weakest and cheapest Trading Cards. The quests will then get harder at the 100th quest that you complete. Both quests ask for retired and unbuyable Trading Cards a lot less often.

The Knutt Knight artwork has also been updated. To help those who have never attempted to battle, there are 12 new easy to defeat and low rarity Trading Cards now restocking. These changes should help those struggling with battling, certain goals and should increase the supply of Diamonds.





We have decided to reward every player who referred new players on the old Referral System. We have transferred all old referrals to the new system and you should have received alerts to notify you about these players. You can also find out more details at the 'My Referrals' list. Remember, you will only receive Referral Points for verified accounts. If you had previously referred a player that is still an active, verified player, you will have lots of Referral Points to spend! Our Maraween Character Trick or Treat has just started. It will end automatically on November 15th. To take part in Character Trick or Treat, all you need to do is dress your character up in an approved Halloween Character Costume, . Then you can visit the profile of any player that is currently online, hit the Trick or Treat button and receive a prize every time! You can only Trick or Treat each person once per day and you will receive MP or an item. All of these item prizes will retire at the end of this event too!

The Snowman has taken Halloween a little too seriously AGAIN this year! He is now only asking for Halloween Treats and he is giving out these new prizes. All of these prizes will retire when the Halloween Snowman quests end November 7th.

You may have noticed our creator, Mara, appear yesterday. Turning 10 Years Old in 2014 was a huge milestone and it made us all think about the next 10 Years of Marapets. Virtual pet sites are confusing to players who have not played or heard of them before. Whenever a new player joins and we try to answer the question "So what do you actually do on Marapets?" there is never a simple answer. Since then we have been removing pointless features, improving important features and simplifying Marapets for everyone.

This new Marapets Progress feature is a kind of 'ulimate goals' for Marapets. Every player starts at zero and you complete 3 challenges at each level. Every 10 levels will have an item prize and the MP reward at each level increases by 2,500MP. As you progress, you will be taught more about how to play Marapets and learn more about the different worlds, characters and features. The idea is that it will get harder as you progress and new levels will be added all of the time. We hope that one day there will be hundreds of levels!

Your progress level will be shown on a Shield that you can click on every page of the site, just above the Site Search. You can also show off your progress to other players on your profile!

A new Maraween Pumpkin Hunt has just started for 2017. It will last until November 21st. As you browse and play the site as normal, check out every page for a Pumpkin in a box. When you find it, click it and you may get a prize! These prizes are listed below. You may also win a Pastel Costume! The 250 different players who collect the most pumpkins will receive 1,500,000MP and a limited edition Carvey Trading Card. The next 250 will just get a Carvey Trading Card.

The Gothic Costume was first released in November 2005 in Account Upgrades and the costume has been retired and neglected ever since. We have released a new version of the Gothic Account Upgrade with 8 new gothic themed items and either an Gothic coloured Willa or Jessup Enchanted Plushie. This AU will retire November 15th.

A certain Halloween devil has been seen lurking around the site again. We all know how much Beelzebub loves Halloween. As usual Beelzebub has all sorts of Halloween goodies to give away to members who are getting into the Halloween spirit and have a halloween-themed character or profile. There are 3 new prizes for 2017 and Beelzebub will also be giving out limited numbers of retired prizes from previous years.
