The Snowman has taken Halloween a little too seriously AGAIN this year!

He is now only asking for Halloween Treats from now until November 1st. Complete his quest and you'll win MP or one of these new prizes!

Our Maraween Character Trick or Treat has just started. It will end automatically on November 5th. To take part in Character Trick or Treat, all you need to do is dress your character up in an approved Halloween Character Costume. Then you can visit the profile of any player that is currently online, hit the Trick or Treat button and receive a prize every time! You can only Trick or Treat each person once per day and you will receive MP or an item. The new Fake Insideout Costume and Ball of Insideout Yarn items are from this event only and will come back each year. All of these item prizes will retire at the end of this event too!

Remember, there are retired Trick or Treat Costumes on sale at the Account Upgrade Shop until 1st November. You can also win the Vintage Halloween Snowman Costume or Halloween Snowman Costume from the Halloween Snowman. The Character Costumes that will work for this event are as follows:

Play any game Phantom Four against Jasper, the unfriendly ghost between now and November 1st and you will win a random prize from the Prize List that includes a new Ghost Shake

You can play the Ghostly Graves for FREE once per day but the prizes during the Ghostly Graves event are different. Find the grave with Tremble the ghost Bolimo inside during Maraween and you'll win one of 99 special ghost themed Prizes. Prizes include the new Ghost Balloon for your wardrobe and if you're really lucky a Ghost Costume, Ball of Ghost Yarn, Ghost Photos or retired ghost themed items from past events! Even if you pick the grave without Tremble in, you'll win MP.

The Giftbox Shop has a new Open Graves Giftbox that allows you to visit twice a day - for life!

Elger has taken the time off from doing quests during this holiday season. Instead, you can visit her with your pet dressed up for Maraween to go Trick or Treating for FREE once every 20 minutes - Halloween, Devil and Evil Clown Pets can visit once every 15 minutes!

All you need to take part is a pet wearing a Halloween, Mad Scientist, Nefarious, Bug, Skeleton, Ghost, Cursed, Witch, Dark, Zombie, Vampire, Wizard, Voodoo, Phantom, Goblin, Rotten, Midnight, Insideout, Gothic, Eleka, Killer, Headless, Mutant, Evil Clown, Mummy, Werewolf, Nightmare, Monster, Poison or Devil costume. These prizes will retire when the Elger Trick or Treat ends November 9th.

Our new and improved Referral System has finally been released. It is a very rewarding way for you to help Marapets to grow. Every player has their own unique Referral URL to give out to other people. If they visit Marapets using this link you will be rewarded if they then play Marapets. The more people you refer and the longer that they play, the more Referral Points you will earn! You can spend these in the Referral Shop.

The way you earn Referral Points is listed below. We will reward you for players who actually play Marapets - the more they play, the more you win! For example, if you refer just one active player, who plays for 60 days reaching Level 36 shield of the Marapets Progress, you will receive 85 Referral Points! If they purchased Account Upgrade Credit you will receive an extra 25 Referral Points and £1 Account Upgrade Credit!

It is time for you to spread the word! Use your Referral URL to tell your friends and family all about Marapets. Play other sites? Add it to your signature! Post it on Facebook or Twitter. Send it in emails. You can even print our Referral Cards and hand them out with candy on Halloween!

Another first for 2015 Maraween! The Enpiah Alien was trick or treating in Undying Woods last night and was bitten! Until November 12th, the Halloween Alien has new items that he will put up for Auction for only 1MP. These items will retire at the end of the event. If you are really lucky, you may catch a very rare or retired Halloween item!

Sorry for the downtime earlier, our server company was having problems and it brought down quite a lot of our database servers. The problem has been fixed, but it does mean that our record for longest length of time without major downtime is now only at 4 months. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. We do have planned maintenance for this Friday, but the downtime will only be in certain parts of the site for only several minutes, so you probably won't even notice it.

The Halloween Ercuw has just been released.

Our Halloween celebrations will start on Friday and carry on until the end of the month. We will have lots of halloween related news, giveaways and our annual Trick or Treat event. This year to take part, you will need to either have a halloween, ghost or witch pet.

The Ghost Jessup has been spotted hanging around the gates of the graveyard in Undying Woods - now your Jessup can become ghost too!

We have a brand new server for Clubs now installed and therefore all of the problems we had with clubs have now been fixed.

The Witch Feliz has also been released.

The network sites are back from their downtime. Each server had a small hardware upgrade and it may take up to 48 hours for them to come back online for you. Sorry for the lack of warning, we wasn't expecting it to be done until the end of the month. This means that a few problems with MaraUploads have also been fixed. Read the full news

SERVER ERRORS
The whole of the second network on marapets is currently down and as it holds most of our database servers, most of the site is unplayable. There is no reason for it to be down, we had no warning and its been down for 4-6 hours so far. We are waiting for it to be fixed but as its out of our control all we can do is wait. The Forums & Clubs are actually working so you can use them if you are lucky enough to already be logged in. We will keep you updated with any information we find out, but as I've already sent 25+ emails to every email address I could find for the server company, there isn't much else I can do ^_^Read the full news
