It's that egg-citing time of year again - the annual Marapets Easter Egg Hunt!

We've scrambled to hide 40 new gourmet Easter Eggs around the site. You eggs-plorers should whisk together to solve our cracking clues. Omelette you all have two of each egg and prize this year. And eggs-tra MP with each clue you solve.
Poach all 40 eggs and you'll also win Account Upgrade Credit! All clues egg-spire June 30th.

There's one rule you can't egg-nore! You cannot list answers or give out answers on the Forums, Blogs, MaraTalk or Club Boards. Or link to any lists, pages or answers. Only privately, via MaraMail or MaraTalk.

The Egg Hunt starts with the first clue below. Use this clue to find the first egg. The egg will be added to your Easter basket and you'll be given the next clue. Each level rewards you with two item prizes and MP. Once you solve all 40 clues you can claim your easter eggs from your basket. That's all yolks!

There is a new Easter Time Machine promotion

Use the Time Machine between now and April 28th, 2022 and you can choose between the current prize list (that changes automatically every Saturday) or a special Easter Prize List. Select the Easter Prize List to win one of 88 retired easter or spring themed items.

The Smuggling shop in Dukka Caves has new items on sale, including previously retired Quell Potions and new Mystery Bronze, Silver and Gold Gourmet items. Open these to find a random retired gourmet food item inside.

A new game has been added to the Undying Woods. Jasper, the hostile ghost of Undying Woods loves to make visitors cry. Are you brave enough to play a game of Phantom Four against him?

When it's your turn, drop one of your orange pieces into a column at the top of the board. You'll win if you are the first to make a straight line of four of your pieces. A line can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal.

You can play Phantom Four for FREE once per day. Game resets at 00:00MST. Win a game against Jasper for

5,000MP a Magic Stat and a Charisma Stat for one of your pets. Lose or draw for

500MP and a Charisma Stat.
Remember, if you have the Pet Stats Giftbox in your collection, you can also select which pet will receive this stat before you play!

Win, lose or draw and you may also be one of three daily winners of a random retired item from his Prize List. We have selected 60 retired items from past Halloween and Undying Festival events as his daily raffle prizes.

As we have mentioned in the past, having over 22,500 of our 59,000 items retired (with their supply shrinking each day) isn't sustainable or fun. When we first started over fifteen years ago, retiring items forever seemed like a good idea because no thought was given then for a decade and a half into the future! Items will still continue to retire but it's meaning has changed several times over the years. One thing that hasn't changed though is that once an item retires, it will never be re-released to be easier, cheaper or more readily avaliable than when the item was first introduced!

We have a lot of news and updates to keep up with but we hope you all read our Latest Update about our plans for the next couple of months. We're working really hard to release over a year's worth of planned new content, updates, games, features and rewards in April and May to keep you all entertained (and distracted) from what's going on in the world right now. By releasing content MUCH quicker than usual, it's had a little less testing than usual on all of the possible browsers, devices, operating systems, etc that you all play. We strive to make all new and existing content on Marapets work for EVERYONE equally but please be patient and help us do this by reporting any issues and bugs on any new and recent content at the Help Forums. Before creating a new topic, please check if one already exists and add more information to this. If you can, please provide screenshots of errors you experience - the more info we get, the quicker we can make things work for all!

A new feature has been added to Trades called Instant Sale Price. Whenever you create a trade lot you now have the option to add a price in MP that you are willing to sell it for. If you decide to use this feature, other players can buy your trade for this price and the trade will be completed instantly. This will be perfect for players who need to buy an item for a mission and the player is offline. Remember, once you add an Instant Sale Price, any player can purchase your trade for this price and ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

The Arinya, Bolimo, Daisy and Dakota can now wear the Leopard Costume.

The Forums have had a huge update. When you post a message on a topic or start a new topic, it no longer has an outdated redirect. When you create a topic and select the option to receive alerts, these are now smaller and stacked with the MaraTalk alerts at the top of each page. The alerts will remove automatically when you view the topic. We have also fixed it so that if you refresh you will no longer double post on a topic.

Forums have a new Mention feature where you can tag any player by their many usernames on the forums. You can mention upto 10 players per post. Simply enter @user with user being their username. It will automatically add their username and a link to their profile on your post and send them an alert, linking them to the forum where you mentioned them! To make it even easier, there is a clickable @tag of all players who have posted a reply on the topic before you reply. If you want more control over who can or cannot mention you on the forums, you can edit your setting at your Signature page.

Our old emoticons have been updated with these new and improved Maramojis!

You can now show an image of your doll on Forums, Blogs, MaraTalk and Club Chat with the tag [DOLL] or [doll].

If you have a Default Pet you can easiy use the new [PET] or [pet] tag to show an image that links to your default pet's profile.

Can you find the new 'Maramoji' Hidden Avatar?

The Decadal, Echlin, Paffuto, Raulf and Zoosh can now wear the Sketch Costume.

A new Arcade Account Upgrade has been released, with 8 new arcade themed items and either a Arcade coloured Willa or Zetlian Enchanted Plushie. This AU will retire June 10th.

The Decadal, Fasoro, Huthiq, Kaala, Poera, Raulf, Rofling, Willa, Xoi, Yuni and Zetlian can now wear the Arcade Costume.

NEW FEATURE
A couple months ago, tishalook ran an official Marapets Clothing Design Contest on the Graphics Forum and the entries we received were so good, we decided to create a permanent Fashion Show feature in Lowlyhood. If you have an idea for new character clothing on Marapets, enter and make your ideas a reality! Simply draw your ideas onto one of our Male and Female bases and email it to us. You can even print it off and design it by hand, scan or take a photo of it and then email it to us. Then everytime that we receive enough entries, we will pick winners and our artists will create them for the site. Lucky winners will be released in the news, win 100,000MP, a Fashion Show Medal for their profile, receive a set of the items they helped to design and be permanently added to the Fashion Show winners gallery!
