We have some exciting news about the Giveaway Rules. Last year, the rules were made stricter to protect players accounts that may have been compromised. Since this rule change we have made many, many important changes to the site to limit any damage that is caused when an account is compromised. The Rules about giveaways have now returned to normal. However, everyone should take the time to read the Rules and remind themselves.

The important thing to remember is that at MaraPets we encourage all players to be nice, friendly and helpful to each other and giving away items/currency/pets is always encouraged but please use common sense. If in doubt, or you are planning a very large/excessive giveaway, you will require staff approval by Support Ticket. Giving away excessive items to the same person/people will be treated as multiple account abuse. The fairest and easiest way to give away any items is via the Pot of Gold and we encourage everyone to use this.

A new Double Worms Giftbox is now on sale at the Giftbox Shop. Use this item and you will pick up twice as many Worms from the Worm Digging game for life. Whenever you find a worm, you will be given two instead of one!

The Decadal, Equilor, Figaro, Gobble, Grint, Huthiq, Justin and Mordo can now wear the Thunder Costume.

Happy Chinese New Year! The Lunar New Year has begun and 2018 is the Year of the Dog! The Rusty can now wear the Chinese Costume.

The Camouflage Costume was first released in December 2005 (over 11 years ago!!) in Account Upgrades and the costume has been retired and neglected ever since. We have released a new version of the Camouflage Account Upgrade with 8 new Camouflage themed items and either a Camouflage coloured Tasi or Reese Enchanted Plushie. This AU will retire March 5th.




There are 55 new pets that can wear the Camouflage Costume. We have also updated 10 Camouflage pets to their newer version. In total 66 out of 76 pets can now wear the Camouflage Costume - this costume will soon be wearable by ALL pets!

NEW FEATURE
The Poison Pit has finally been released. The far east of Marada is uninhabitable and no one is quite sure why everything here is so poisonous. As more is found out about this area of Marada, a new world may one day be started here! In the meantime, a way to visit this mysterious Poison Pit has been found by completing the Poison Pit Treasure Map. Once completed, its safe for you to visit once every 12 hours for FREE.

Every visit will give you the chance to dip an item into the magic poison pit and watch what happens to the item. The rarity of the item you can dip will change each time you visit - between rarity 1 and 15. Dipping items into the poison pit can have all kinds of weird and wonderful outcomes! Items can turn into MP, BP, RP, Olympic Points, Account Upgrade Credits, gym and elite gym stats for your pets, different Skins for your character or other new, bonus items. If you are really, really lucky your item may turn into a retired item.

It is now time for you to decide - Team Baspinar or Team Eleka? Although Queen Eleka declared war, neither side has made the first move yet. Right now its time to build up supplies! You can currently earn 10 War Points for you and your team from *ANY* Quest you complete.

We have added War Results to the top of the News page. It is updated every minute with each team's points so far. Remember, there will also be a prize for EVERY player in the winning team!

WAR EVENT
If you would like to take part in the Battle for Marada war event, you now have to decide if you want to join Team Eleka or Team Baspinar. When you have chosen which side you want to fight for, please stay tuned for a News update for the war to start.

You have a choice between the Light Side and King Baspinar or the Dark Side and Queen Eleka. Once you pick a side, you will not be able to change sides. You will earn War Points for yourself and your team. At the end of the event, the team with the most points will win the war and everyone in the winning team will win a prize. Points per team are divided by the number of players in the team, so it doesn't matter how many players are in each team.

You will earn War Points from restocking, questing and battling. Players who have dark, light, armoured or camouflage pets may randomly win bonus points throughout the event for themselves and their team. You may also win bonus points for supporting your team, such as decorating your profile, blog, club, signature or dressing up your character in support of your team.

The War Redemption Shop will also open with new items for you to spend your points on. Throughout the event, certain places may be restricted for your team. For example, if you join the dark side, there may be times when you cannot shop or quest in any of the worlds on the light side of Marada. One thing different about this event is - ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!

All of the Valentines Day Events will be finishing at MIDNIGHT Marapets time today and the prizes will be retired.

BUG FIXES - Editing Shop & Gallery descriptions is now fixed. All broken images in the Battle Arena and the flee glitch have been fixed. Jenoa Goals level 31 now works. Anyone stuck in the three Temples has now been fixed.

There are 3 new Witch Pets now avaliable.


PROFILES & BLOGS
We have upgraded Profiles. You can now edit the colour of the text, headings and links on your Profile to a colour you have unlocked with your Glowing Eggs. Blogs have also been upgraded with a new faster server setup, allowing us to add new features really soon to improve the Blogs.
