A new game has been released in Baspinar's Castle. You can play the classic game of Draughts (also known as Checkers) against a Knight of the castle once per day for FREE. Game resets at 00:00MST.

If you win the game of Draughts against the Knight, you will win MP12,500MP and two entries to the daily Knight Raffle.
If you lose or draw, you'll still win MP2,000MP and one entry to the raffle.

The Knight Raffle will select three random winners who have entered by playing Chess, Draughts or Reversi (coming soon) the previous day. There will be one winner of £5 Account Upgrade Credits and two winners of £2 Account Upgrade Credits.

The goal of Draughts is to take all of the Knight's pieces or make them unable to move. You have the white pieces and get to go first. You can only move forwards and diagonally on the darker squares of the board. If you reach the far edge of the board, you'll be crowned 'King' and can then move forwards and backwards. Whenever your piece has the Knight's piece adjacent to it and the square immediately beyond the Knight's piece is vacant, you can and must capture their piece.

We have a lot of news and updates to keep up with but we hope you all read our Latest Update about our plans for the next couple of months. We're working really hard to release over a year's worth of planned new content, updates, games, features and rewards in April and May to keep you all entertained (and distracted) from what's going on in the world right now. By releasing content MUCH quicker than usual, it's had a little less testing than usual on all of the possible browsers, devices, operating systems, etc that you all play. We strive to make all new and existing content on Marapets work for EVERYONE equally but please be patient and help us do this by reporting any issues and bugs on any new and recent content at the Help Forums. Before creating a new topic, please check if one already exists and add more information to this. If you can, please provide screenshots of errors you experience - the more info we get, the quicker we can make things work for all!

I love this game, but the mandatory jump are dumb. In real life, if you don't want to make a jump, you don't have to. To be forced to in this one.... It kind of takes away from the statistic aspect of the game.

Not a fan.
I will stick to mahjong :)

How can I put down two at the same time? It only allows one even if I it's clearly seen that I could have eaten both. But the computer or knight can eat two times once it detects it can.

I cant explain it clearly ughh.

@gennie

you can't compare chess/draughts/reversi against a virtual "knight" with real life. nothing about mara is real life LOL

@Sunjewel @rumor

lots of people have commented on the "mandatory jump"

its a rule for almost every type of draughts AND checkers game, I didn't make it up!

Someone even found the American Checkers Federation's (yep, that's a real thing LOL) official rulebook

http://www.usacheckers.com/downloads/WCDF_Revised_Rules.doc

Quote from the American Checkers Federation's official rulebook:

1.19 If a jump creates an immediate further capturing opportunity, then the capturing move of the piece (man or king) is continued until all the jumps are completed. The only exception is that if a man reaches the king-row by means of a capturing move it then becomes a king but may not make any further jumps until their opponent has moved. At the end of the capturing sequence, all captured pieces are removed from the board.

1.20 All capturing moves are compulsory, whether offered actively or passively. If there are two or more ways to jump, a player may select any one that they wish, not necessarily that which gains the most pieces. Once started, a multiple jump must be carried through to completion. A man can only be jumped once during a multiple jumping sequence.

I guess we never played according to the rules then LOL
We never had to do that when I was a kid.. but then, we never played tournaments ether, just for fun, so maybe we just didn't care about fallowing all the rules and regulations.
Oh well LOL
