I know. That was probably one of favorite older costumes. I am not refreshing my cache. Id rather prefer it to be the older version. :/@Thumbelina

i'm honestly so glad my straya was left alone because i'm also not a fan of the new style. i prefer more fluid and dynamic poses that are detailed and still match marapets style like the Valentine Chibs, Decadal, and Straya have.

in all honestly i've been kinda disappointed with the art quality of AU sets in general lately, but withheld comment to see if i would warm up to them. unfortunately i didn't.

I watched my valentine snookle change last night then back to normal. I was hoping when I came on here today that the pet still had not changed. I went through this with the baby snookle change and got rid of it. Hope I don't have to do the same with the valentine snookle.

@Koichi I do think you did a really good job on these.
The only ones I feel stand out (against the old ones in pet colours) are the quell, huthig, poera and the new ushunda. Mostly do to shading/depth.
They feel more flat/cookie cutter than the rest. The peora itself mostly stands out do to how large it looks competed to the rest. Maybe do to the fact it's a snake? so more curved lines?

But like, I think all the others are very well done, and do blend in with the older ones well.

I had noticed though, you used a paler shape of red for the roses though, which isn't an issue, just an observation. I like it though :thumbsup:

I am extremely glad the straya was left alone, I spent over 10m buying the costume to get the valentine straya, was a dream pet, I really don't like the new look of this costume at all

Oh no. Sorry to the artist but the lack of quality and the amateur nature of these is just sad. By far one of the poorest updates I've seen so far. If the Straya gets updated to whatever this is I'm going to be furious.
I get not liking redraws because you're used to the old ones, but some of the updates that have been put out lately have been extremely poor quality, I think a lot of players have just been afraid to say because criticism isn't taken particularly well, and some of the updates lately have been very flat.
However, props to the artist for posting in this thread and responding to criticism, it must be hard to do on a very tight knit pet site where change is a strange thing to deal with.

It's personally not for me, it's quite a clumsy style to put it politely but it does fit the cuteness of the costume in that respect. The sheep-looking echlin is darn cute though haha but I can definitely see why people are upset.
