@Shadow but it is about that because you are telling people who lost not to complain, it would be different if you had lost as well. Yes it is a game and is supposed to be fun, but constantly losing things makes it not fun. As one player mentioned earlier it discourages new players from taking part when the gap between teams is so large from so early on. Its not fun to know you are 20,000 points behind another team every single day, and then to get a message at the end of the event that you are on the losing team. And as someone who has lost the last three of these type of team events what kind of motivation do I have to compete or even try in any further ones that are on the site, Im sure a number of players on the Marching team only 'won' because of the team effort and did nothing themselves, I think it should be fairer based on effort put in for prizes rewarded at the end of the event. I never said anything about opinions, I'm talking about players feelings here. While yes there always has to be a winner and a loser in these type of events, all I asked was if the staff could look at the number of inactive players on each team and attempt to balance it out for the next event.

@SmokingHot99 I get that and all I just think people take these things too seriously. My biggest rewards from this event was through completing the challenges to earn badges not the prizes from being on the winning team.
I also never said people can’t complain, to each their own.
The top 150 were rewarded with TCs too so despite not being on the winning team their efforts were rewarded this way which I like and no I was not a winner of that.

@Shadow that might have been the benefit for you, but that's not the case for everyone. It was taken quite seriously by some people because, to be honest, these type of challenges do require significant time and effort commitment. So what I am saying is dont call out people who put time and effort in and lost for complaining when they have right to. It's not nice to lose, and then come on to a board to suggest improvements for the next one, to be met with criticisms and negative comments from players who won, and maybe got prizes that other losing players wanted but can't afford.

Each time this type of event has taken place the gap between teams seems to be larger. Each event I've been on the losing team, but in the end Ian makes the prizes are reasonably available, so I don't complain. That being said, I'm really losing motivation to participate in these events. They are not enjoyable when I know from the start I'm going to lose. I'd appreciate if Ian looked in to how the teams are formed and made sure active players are evenly distributed.

@SmokingHot99 Everyone who participated in the event benefited from it. Yes, it was their effort from completing those challenges but we all earned items and mps from it. I’d feel the same way if I lost. I still benefited from the event by participating.
Good luck though, I’m done with the back and forth. We view it differently and that’s okay.

Great that you have such a positive outlook on it @Shadow, please keep in mind for next time that your words have an impact on others so saying "too much complaining" isn't a fair statement when people are expressing their feelings.

@maramis I agree, I suspect there are a number of inactive players on each team, however, it seemed that there was such a large and impossible gap between the two teams this time it makes me wonder how many were inactive on the losing team. I also wonder how this would be measured or policed by the staff as I assume team assignments are random.

considering you cant even choose your team i dont understand why all end prizes arent based on how many points a person got. I've been on the losing team all 3 times now, and its starting to get annoying having to buy all the cool stuff the winning team got just because rng determined to put me on the team that loses the lead on day 2 and can never recover

@DeAnn the only things remotely rock-band related were the regular and Electric Guitar- everything else was Marching Band related

I only read up to page 5. And I agree lots of complaining. I complain too so go for it. But winning and losing is part of the point. And you don't get to pick teammates in other kinds of competitions either. Also ppl are complaining about 7 items that one team got that the other didn't. And they got 1 that the winning team didn't get. So the winning team got 6 more items. That's all. Just 6 items. Everyone that played got 70 new items from playing the game. I wish I knew how to bold that and make it larger. 70 NEW ITEMS FOLKS!!! Thanks for the event Ian and staff. Also I'm guessing there were Rock Band items drawn too. Just not used as they didn't win. ;) I just looked over the items and I will say there are more marching band items than rock band items and perhaps this was not the best choice. If Rock band had won it would not have stood out as much perhaps. But ya.
