The Vortex Costume was first released in January 2009 in Account Upgrades and the costume has been retired and forgotten about ever since. We have updated and renamed the costume and a new version of the Tornado Account Upgrade has been released, with 8 new themed items. A new Vortex Park Reservoir Treasure Map is the main prize. Collect all 16 pieces of this map and you will gain access to this brand new feature that will be released next month. You will receive 6 or 7 random pieces of this map. There is a 1 in 3 chance you will receive 7 pieces instead of 6 pieces. This AU will retire July 31st.
The Decadal, Ike, Tantua and Yakubi can now wear the Tornado Costume.
Five of the six original Vortex pets have been updated to new Tornado Pets. The Tornado Huthiq will be updated shortly.
I'm not a a fan of maps, that open locked content, that have to be purchased with the "real life" currency. I know you can trade for the currency... But, IDK, if you're going to release a feature, let the maps be purchasable through regular means. Sure you could save the mp for it, but you aren't guaranteed to be able to save enough to get the whole thing before it's out of au; then the prices inflate and it's even harder to get them. (BTW, I've always felt this way about AU maps)
For a second there, I was excited for a Decadal AU for this one but it's a map instead but I've been seeing Raulf tossed around instead... for the next AU, I think?
Either way, I like how these tornado pets look a lot! It fits the theme of Vortex park while still also being something like a "vortex" costume, hehe.
I think I like Ercuw and Deca best but still don't know if I'll get one; maybe eventually! That won't stop me from buying the costume now, though~
well since its not being told what this map is for I only assume it's not even decided which gives me little hope for it being something amazing so I will be holding off for sure
