Shell/head anatomy is very strange on this, but cute overall i guess aha

i'm also being thrown off by the weird shell/neck/arms thing (sorry). If i try not to focus on it, it is really cute but then i can't help but see the bits that don't quite look right - i think if it was maybe drawn a little smaller it's body could be elongated and the neck wouldn't be merging with the shell so much?? and then you could draw the arms connected to the neck rather than separated by shell?
