Well this answers my question what to turn my rusty into!

@Hati I just want to say, that though I do not have any bee pets myself, I do know the frustration of having pet art for one of my pet,s updated to something I did not like.

I turned my pet Brendell into an Injured Bolimo once, out of protest of the change to the Mutant Doyle, which cost me 14 DNA to get.

He has since been re-costumed into a Werewolf, which its him well. But for years, I was sore over that change.

One doesn't need 'that' pet that was updated, to understand the position players are in with the update. They have likely had it happen to them already as well.

Having processed my own issue with art updates, I was only trying to help others like yourself. But my words do not always get across well. I was trying to simply say, I get it.
It helps to step back sometimes, and process news, before reacting.

Decide if you really do hate it, because it is a horrible update, or, if you hate it cause you liked how it was, and never wanted it to change. Even if that change was a good thing.

Listen, I know you weren't coming at me to tell me to shush, since you are always nice and helpful, but at the same time, people only seem to respond to the unhappy comments.

And it feels like voicing our frustration is being dismissed when others tell us 'it needs updated, you just need time to like it, its not fAiR to the artist' etc. Its not really fair to the old artist either. Its not fair to those who are unhappy to tell us not voice our displeasure. I've had so many pets revamped and I've not liked a single one. Sometimes you just lose it after so many.

This is really cute. I like the Bee Rusty especially, the old art was cute, but so is this new one :love:

The old Bee Echlin was cute. The new one is not. My Bee Echlin is now Thunder.

I like the new artwork, but I did like the old colors better. Wish the new art kept the old colors.

I think the revamps look great :)

I'll miss the fluffy tail on my Kaala bee but the colors read a lot better!

Just like@Frostseraph said: I wish the revamps would keep the old colors. I immediately think of the Dark Fairy costume, the update to that color palette was pretty unremarkable and dulled the bold colors.

The biggest "revamp" crime for me is forever going to be the Phantom costume. The bold black with the neon blue was perfect and so awesome and then... I don't even know what to call the color palette now except a crime against my eyes. The Dark costume suffered the same change; bold colors for dull, muted and unimpressive colors.

And @Hati is correct in saying having so many people come out in an attempt to placate and pacify someone's unhappy opinion just makes one get frustrated to the point of losing it. It's not just an online thing, this frustration at being stamped out can spill into other places to the point that it'll effect the foot traffic that comes here once enough people that have been ignored or "politely" told to keep their displeasure to themselves get together and make their displeasure known to larger audiences when it could have been addressed in house.

Definitely a big shock at first, I’ve had a bee rusty for so long, I got nervous about the change. But I really appreciate the care the artist took in replicating some of the most dynamic poses from the original bee design. You can definitely see that they kept to the spirit of the original design. I’d only ever liked the bee rusty, and wasn’t a fan of the other bee pets. This update is gonna take a little getting used to, as it is a different art style and the colors are a big change, but I think overall I feel good about this one.

I will admit the update was a bit jarring at first glance...but looking at the updated bee costume artwork now and comparing the old and new are side by side...

Differences in color aside, I actually really love how subtle the change was. Almost if not all poses were kept relatively the same. The art just fits with the rest of the costumes now, and is more detailed.

Huge props to the artists! They look great.
