yeah.. basically two different people are working on them. The harder to do pumpkins are saved for another artist who will hopefully have them done before maraween is over!

The old pumpkins like Hairy or Hungry for example might be lower quality art than what is added to mara now but they are still pretty cool items and I don't want to lose all of the character of the old art just so that it looks nicer
