Introducing the new and improved... Costume Boutique

The Costume Shop has been replaced with the new Costume Boutique. Over the past 16 years we've released over 7,000 different pet colours - 78 species of pet and 206 different costumes! The first item ever added to MaraPets was the Blue Costume and for the first few years of us being open, there were always some costumes in stock at the costume shop. Fast forward sixteen years and the shop is pretty much always empty and making it stock more items only crashes the prices, making the costume easier to get but no longer wanted. The 'restocking' shop model that works well for the other 100+ shops on here does not work well for Costumes.We have therefore changed the shop to the new Costume Boutique. It has all of the benefits of being random and rarer costumes showing up less often but now it will be a fixed price and accessible to all! There are 151 Costumes that have been added to the Costume Boutique, organised into 4 different groups - 19 Colour Costumes, 9 Standard Costumes, 9 Premium Costumes and 114 Account Upgrades Costumes. Every day, a new costume is randomly selected from the Prize List to be sold here for that day only.

One of these 9 Premium Costumes will be selected at random each month, to be on sale for one random day in the month for a fixed price of either MP BP or RP. You will only know what costume is on sale at the shop on the day you visit. You will not be told when a costume is back on sale here or if it will be on sale for MP, BP or RP. There are 9 Standard Costumes and four of these will be selected at random each month. Each of the four selected will be on sale for a different, random day of the month and will be sold for a fixed price of either MP BP or RP. There will also be new costumes in the future added to the Costume Boutique. There are also 114 Costumes there were released as Account Upgrades Sets over the past 16 years. Although we continue to release one or two Account Upgrade sets per month, releasing new costumes hasn't really been an option while there are SO many that aren't avaliable - it would take another 12 years+ to release them all again this way. To help with bringing some of these back automatically, the Costume Boutique also randomly selects two of these costumes each month to be on sale here for £4 Account Upgrade Credits. Each costume will only be on sale for one day of the month and this will be selected at random. This means that only 24 out of 114 of these costumes will be sold for only 24 of the 365 days in a year - it should still keep them rare and limited, without making them unattainable. Any day that a Premium, Standard or Account Upgrades Costume is not on sale at the Costume Boutique there will be one of 19 Coloured Costumes on sale instead. Like the Premium and Standard Costumes, the currency required will be randomly selected to cost MP BP or RP and the prices are fixed and shown on the Prize List.
