Hello there! If you have trouble writing apps, then I suggest reading this blog entire very carefully.
The Basic Rules-
1. NO BEGGING! Awful idea! Your post will be ignored and you will likely be disqualified from the completion.
2. NO PREMADE APPS! Probably the worst idea out there. They show that you are likely to trade the pet/not take care of it. If you don???t get caught at first, someone will eventually recognize that it???s a premade, and your trust level will go substantially down.
3. USE PROPER GRAMMER! It???s not that hard. Capitalize your ???i???s???, use punctuation, and don???t use ???u??? or ???r??? or ???2??? or ???4???! If you have trouble with spelling or tend to be a bit lazy on punctuation, try writing your app on a word document that has spell check. NOTE: it???s likely that spell check will not recognize the pet???s name or marapets terms, so be careful of those.
4. READ ALL THE RULES! Read all of the rules very carefully. It???s awful when you forget a phrase or forget to include some important information. Take note on whelter you are required to post an app or maramail it.
5. KNOW THE PET! Make sure you know the name and gender! If you want to include additional information on species, measurements, or level make sure you have the correct figures.
Things that is good to include-
- What you plan on doing with the pet: drawing, training, giving minipets, educating, costuming etc. if you???re planning on giving a minipet, then I would suggest putting it in your gallery and including the link.
- Your experience with pets. Show the owner one of your pets, and how you???ve taken care of it. This shows the giver/trader that you have a standard for your pets and that you won???t let them sit around and rot.
- Graphics! If you???ve got talent at making siggys, then show it for the pet!
- Stories, poems, etc. creativity is the best part of apps in my opinion. They???re enjoyable and show that you take good care of the pet. Try to be as original as possible on these, acrostics are nice, just don???t put in ???pretty??? or ???smart??? or vague terms like that ??? get creative! And with your stories don???t have it all be about the giveaway, creativity is what counts.
Example-
Howdy! My names Claudia, and I dream of becoming Dudsie???s owner. When I look at Dudsie, I don???t see a good name, or a cool costume, I see marapets at its peak. The little things shine the brightest in Dudsie, her unique and funny name ??? the orange raccoon mask around her eyes. Dudsie has nearly everything I want in a pet.
As I said before, Dudsie has ???nearly??? everything I want in a pet. Here???s what I want in her. More books, DVD???s, and instruments; if chosen as her owner I would provide those for her. A valuable petpet with a corresponding name and matching colors; I have one in my gallery if you???d like to see it. For dudsie, I would train her in the gym to raise her stats. I promise to provide everything from education to crystals if I was chosen as her owner.
I cringe at the thought of trading Dudsie away. I know that you have worked long and hard to get her were she is today, and that effort if irreplaceable in my eyes, its worth much more than another pet to me.
I hope that you find a good owner for Dudsie, and it would be my dream come true to become her owner. Best regards,
-Claudia
