Remembrance day poem

still in working from a few years ago ....


shot by shot,
shell by shell,
they march on,
through living hell.

all they see,
the things they do,
to keep us safe,
would you too?

They come back scarred,
not just on the skin,
people over look,
telling them they sinned.

but today we stand,
all as one,
we raise the flag,
for the ones that are gone.

so a minute of silence,
so we can remember,
the ones that fallen,
on the 11th of November.
