To a Memory

I remember when you was running
around in circles and circles
Biting your tail
Life was fun and no fail
all was play and play

You was my friend
and i cared,
and i held you tight,
to hold you,
but you was too young
and wanted to play
and play around

You learned the tricks,
i loved to learn you,
you loved to learn the tricks,
but all was done in love.

Time went by
and you got older,
The clock ticked and ticked
it was a lot of years,
and the last ones gave me fears,
of loosing you

as pets will always living
not as long as we do,
they still will live
as long as we live
in our memory.
