This tattoo was made for my best friend, Jade. Jade passed away in 2008 a few days after she had open heart surgery. She was a fun, loving, caring, generous spirit. I try to live by her example and love life as much as she did everyday. She was on this earth for 15 short years but impacted the lives of many people. So for you my dear friend I put this on my body to remember the great person that entered my life for a short time. I drew the butterfly myself. The saying is latin. It means "She flies with her own wings." It's engraved on her headstone. May you rest in peace and please watch over me until we me again. I love you Jade Alexandra Herrick!! <3 BFF!!!
