illusive shadows in a darkened corner
flickering lights of a mindless mind,
the advice in a whisper
under the cloud of a fool,
quiet words of persuasion
confused by it all.

inquisitive chanting with hands held firm
unspoken answers of a voiceless voice,
pretence and compassion veiled in a mist
the silence of solitude echoed,
volume of multiple thoughts increased
confused by it all.

clambering of bodies pushing forward
chilling the flow of bloodless blood,
lies and passion hidden in screams of denial
the emptiness of a confused mind beckons,
is this life or death
or just inanimate people?
confused by it all.
