0 Rip1357Drake cast a glare at the villagers. "She's with me."
Emmy shrugged. "Anywhere you want, except the castle itself." 0 VaranceElena looked at all the little trinkets that were on sale. She passed a man selling exotic birds, a woman offering fortunes... Elena was stopped by a stall selling silver jewellery. Elena picked up a silver necklace with a delicately carved eagle. It had ruby for eyes and she could see all the detail. "Isn't this pretty?" She asked Drake, showing him.
Luke thought for a moment. "Shall we go shopping?" He asked her, noticing a long line of stalls that lined the dusty paths. 0 Rip1357"Yeah," Drake answered softly, "Do you want it?"
"Alright," Emmy answered, smiling at him. 0 VaranceElena laughed lightly and fished some gold pieces out of her pocket. The man smiled at them, oblivious to the fact that Elena was from the Dark kingdom. I like this guy, Elena thought, happy that he didn't give her any weird looks. "I didn't know that Drake had a girlfriend," The man and said, and Elena blushed. I take that back, she thought, shoving the necklace in her pocket. "I-It's not l-like that!" She said, walking off briskly.
Luke grinned and walked along the stalls, peering at all the things on sale. "What sorts of things do you like?" He asked, peering at some flowers. 0 Rip1357Drake caught up with her. "Don't mind him. He's blind. He recognized my voice. That's all."
Emmy closed her eyes. "I don't know. Everything I have was given to me by my parents." 0 VaranceElena slowed her pace and sighed, fishing out the necklace. She put it on and smiled. "Blind... So that explains why he didn't notice I was from the Dark kingdom..." Elena whispered. "I need a change of clothes, too," She mused, looking at her scuffed armour with disgust.
Luke grinned and pulled out a rose. He handed it to her and smiled. "Well, here's something that isn't from your parents~" He said, tenderly. 0 Rip1357Emmy took the rose from Luke. She smiled and held it to her nose, smelling it. "Thank you." She was oblivious to the stares of the people around them.
Drake nodded. "This way." 0 VaranceElena followed Drake. "Where are we going?" She asked, curious. She looked at his hand and turned away. Was... Was I about to hold his hand? She wondered, flushing.
Luke smiled and laughed lightly. "No problem," He said and continued walking. He ignored the looks he got from the people around them. Who cares what they think? He thought, happily. I'm with Emmy, that's all that matters. 0 Rip1357"Now what about you?" Emmy asked Luke.
"To get you some new clothes." 0 Varance"Me?" Luke asked, stopping. "Hm. I don't really need anything, princess," He said, ruffling her hair.
Elena nodded and stopped in front of a tailors. "Goodevening, miss!" A young woman smiled, walking up to Elena. "Need new clothes?" The woman asked and Elena nodded. The woman smiled and pulled her inside. 0 Rip1357She stepped closer to him. "Except my love," she whispered into his ear, taking her silver ring studded with emeralds off and pressing it into his hand.
Drake smiled. He knew the villagers would stop staring once Elena go her new clothes. 0 VaranceElena stepped out awkwardly. She was dressed in a simple, white dress adorned with lace. Her dark hair was pulled into a loose braid and tied with a matching white ribbon. "Ah... How much is it?" She asked the woman, tugging at the dress. "Oh no! No need to pay if it's for Drake's true love!" The woman giggled, rushing back inside. Elena blushed and looked at the ground. "Why does everyone think we're in love?" She mumbled, embarrassed.
Luke blushed and smiled. "That's right," He said, his fingers curling around the ring. "Look! There's Elena... and Drake," Luke said, gulping when he said 'Drake'. He narrowed his eyes and gasped. "E-Elena isn't wearing her armour!" He gasped, as if it was a miracle. 0 Rip1357"Because the only girl anyone's ever seen me with besides you is Emmy..." His voice trailed off when he saw Luke with Emmy.
Emmy smiled. "She looks pretty It's a good look for her." 0 VaranceElena just smiled and laughed. "I don't mind though... That they think that," She said, waving at Luke and Emmy. The truth was, she liked the fact that people thought she was Drake's girlfriend. Elena really didn't mind.
Luke waved back and tugged at Emmy's arm. "Wanna go over and say hello?" He asked her, smiling. 0 Rip1357Drake didn't mind either. He shook his head. He couldn't let Elena get in the way.
"Okay," Emmy said, smiling.
Drake's eyes narrowed. 0 VaranceElena smiled and hugged Luke as they approached. "Well, today was pretty fun, huh?" She enquired, smiling. Luke laughed and nodded, before turning serious. "W... What will the king say?" Luke mumbled and Elena froze. "He... He'll kill me," Elena said, stepping back. "He's probably already storming the castle..." Elena said, trailing off and shuddering. "I'll be killed before I even set foot in the castle..."
Luke stood there, frowning. It was true, the king would indeed kill Elena for leaving the kingdom without his permission. There was no way that Elena could go back. "Well... What will you do?" He asked her, meeting Drake's eyes. He narrowed his eye at him and dared Drake to challenge him. 0 Rip1357Drake snarled at Luke and then turned to Elena. "You can stay here, if you want."
Emmy was shocked into silence. 0 VaranceElena stood there, uncomfortable. "I... I can't stay here," She said, looking at the ground. She flexed her fingers and it felt strange without her usual armour on. "The king will certainly wage war," She said, sighing.
Luke tried not to flinch when Drake snarled at him. He noticed it was starting to get dark. "Hey, Elena, better start heading back," He said, tapping her on the arm. Elena looked at him and tried to smile. "I'll get changed," She said, walking off. 0 Rip1357"But I can't let you get killed," Drake answered. He turned to follow her.
"It's alright," Emmy said softly t Luke, "Don't mind him." 0 VaranceElena emerged with her armour on. Looks like they cleaned it for me, she smiled, admiring the shine it had. She looked at Drake and was going to say something but thought better of it and turned away. She waited for Luke to finish talking to Emmy and took one last look at the Light kingdom.
Luke smiled and patted her head. "I'd better get going... I'll see you tonight," He said, scrambling over to Elena. "Let's go!" He said, smiling playfully. Elena sighed and shook her head. The pair walked towards the gate of the Light kingdom, chattering away. "How's it going with Drake?" Luke whispered and Elena blushed. "He's still oblivious," Elena replied, chuckling. Luke laughed and patted her shoulder. "Poor Elena," He said and ran off down the dusty path towards the Dark kingdom with Elena running after him, threatening to cut his head off.
