0 Rip1357Drake looked up and reined his horse in sharply. He drew his sword. Emmy glanced at him. "What is it Drake?" Her thoughts were on Luke though. She had felt something, something strange, when he had showed up. 0 VaranceElena had a feeling that something wasn't right. She knew that there were two bandits hiding, they should be easily taken care of by Drake. Her eyes slowly scanned the area and she narrowed her eyes. Not two but five bandits, the other three looked meancing and tougher than the rest. One of them had a gun and Elena was disgusted. Using a gun was unfair, since no one can fight off bullets. Saluting at the guards, Elena ran towards Drake and Emmy, skidding to a halt. She pulled out her sword in one swift motion, deflecting a bullet. "How good are you in hand to hand combat?" She grinned, as the bandits stepped out from their hiding places. 0 Rip1357Emmy flinched. Drake smiled. "I'm pretty good." 0 VaranceElena nodded and smiled for a brief moment before nodding to him. "Emmy, you'd better run-," Elena was cut off when a bandit launched on top of her, knocking her over. Elena hissed and kicked him off, swinging her sword at him. She slipped her sword back into it's scabbard and pulled out two long, hooked daggers. "This is better," She said, as she flexed her fingers and tightened her grip on them. A bandit, one of the weaker ones, ran at her. Elena ducked and with one swift movement, dragged her daggers along his back. The bandit screamed in pain, collasping on the ground. She turned her attention to the next one and soon, she was caught up fending off bandits from most sides. 0 VaranceOoc: Still there? 0 Rip1357Emmy turned and ran blindly. She ended up running right into Luke. Drake pulled out his sword and started fighting the bandits. 0 VaranceElena ducked and dived as she expertly swung her daggers. Her glanced at Emmy, to make sure she was okay and then... BANG! The bandit with the gun, whom Elena had paid no attention to, had just shot a bullet into her side. Elena winced as the blood started to seep out. She threw her dagger and it lodged itself in the bandit's side. He gasped and dropped to the ground, the gun rolling harmlessly away. "That... That should be the last of them," She said, clutching her side and looking around. "Hm," Elena nodded and walked over to the bandit, pulled her dagger out.
"Oomph!" Luke gasped, catching her. "Hey! It's the princess~" He grinned at her. "So, how come you're still here?" 0 Rip1357"The name's Emmy," she gasped out, "Elena told me to run. She and Drake are fighting right now..." She shivered from the cold and didn't pull away from him. She had wondered if she was ever going to see him again.
Drake frowned, looking at Elena with concern. "Are you alright?" 0 Rip1357(Will be offline for a few days. Going somewhere without Internet access. Will continue this as soon as possible.) 0 VaranceElena shrugged as she packed her daggers away. "I don't know. You can never be sure in my kingdom. Sometimes, the healers are open and sometime they're not. It's not like life in your kingdom, where everything is right there," She explained, scanning the area. "You wouldn't even survive a day in the poorer parts of the Dark kingdom. You'd be stripped of your jewels and gold before you knew it," Elena smiled dryly. "I'll probably survive this wound though. I've had worse..." She glanced at the scars on her arm. "Well, I'll escort you to your kingdom, can't risk any more attacks can we?"
Luke nodded slowly and patted her on the head. His hand was on his sword and he was a bit tense. "You'll be okay. Elena knows how to handle the likes of them... And I'll protect you if you need it," He said, winking. Her covered his eyes with his hand, shielding it from the sunlight. "I think they're both still alive!" He grinned, pointing. 0 Rip1357Drake nodded. "Thanks." He turned and his eyes narrowed when he saw Luke. Why ws he here?
Emmy turned as well and she bit her lip, stepping away from Luke. She saw Drake's expression and turned away. To tell the truth, she liked Luke, but she knew Drake was going to keep her under maximum protection now. 0 VaranceElena nodded and walked over to the horses, examining them. "Get on," She said to Drake and Emmy. "They're fine, looks like they didn't get hurt," Elena continued and started walking down the dusty path. Luke ambled over to her and leaned on her shoulder. "She's pretty, that princess," He said, almost dreamily. Elena laughed and batted him with her hand. "Your chance with her is even slimmer than my chance with Drake," She joked.
Luke just laughed inwardly and sighed. Elena was probably right and... Drake didn't look like he was going to even let Emmy talk to him. 0 Rip1357Drake mounted his horse and took off down the path. He was furious. He saw the way Emmy had acted toward Luke.
Emmy mounted her own horse. She looked back at Luke and smiled a little. Her eyes flickered towards Drake and her smile faded. 0 VaranceElena walked along, Luke chatting away in her ear. She ignored him and gathered her thoughts.
Luke smiled back at her then quickly turned away as her saw Drake looking, or glaring rather, at him. 0 Rip1357Drake snarled and called Emmy up to his side. "What do you think you're doing?"
"What are you talking about?" Emmy was confused. 0 VaranceElena noticed that the Light kingdom was getting closer. Maybe I should get my wounds checked, she thought.
Luke sighed as he continued to look straight ahead. "Drake's a bit... mean isn't he?" Luke muttered, kicking some stones with his boot. Elena laughed and shook her head. "Mean isn't the right word... Try, overprotective." 0 Rip1357Drake urged his horse into a gallop and made it to the kingdom.
Emmy dismounted her horse and sent him on. She walked back to where Luke and Elena were. Her eyes were on Luke and she pulled him aside. "So, I have to tell you something." 0 VaranceElena walked slowly and stopped at the gate. She would wait for Emmy to be safely inside before leaving. She leaned against the gate, bored. Some passer bys, people from the Light kingdom, pointed at her and whispered among themselves. Elena glared at them, narrowing her eyes.
Luke looked quizzically at her. "What's wrong?" He asked, tilting his head at her. He hoped that Drake wouldn't kill him for talking to her. 0 Rip1357"I like you," Emmy said softly. She hoped Drake wouldn't get mad at her. 0 VaranceElena sighed deeply and decided she might as well get her wounds treated. She looked around and noticed Drake. She walked over and tugged at his arm. "Do you know where the I can get my wounds checked?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
Luke stood there and slowly a blush creeped up his face. "I-Is that s-so?" He stammered, smiling. "I... I like you too," He said, quickly, looking at the ground. He hugged and and smiled. "I'm glad we feel the same way..."
