The day that would change my life (Prequel)

10th Aug 2010 07:12 I woke up early, at 8AM. It was weird...I sensed something was wrong. I wondered if it was my little brother, Aidan, so I went to check on him. I knocked on the door, my ear close to see if I could hear anything. Nothing. I got worried. He was disabled, he was in a wheelchair. He could have collapsed. I started to fret, and opened the door. "Aidan? Are you alright?" I asked, looking around. He wasn't there. I searched all around his room, but I couldn't find him. He couldn't be downstairs. Unless he fell...
I checked all around the rooms, and the less rooms I had to search in the more I got worried. I shakily put my hand on the stairs, and looked down. I rushed down the stairs, but I couldn't see him anywhere. Mum was in the Kitchen, so I asked if she knew where Aidan was. She looked at me, and she started to cry. "Mum? What's happened?" I asked, starting to get scared. "Is it about Aidan?" I already knew it was, but I just needed to check. Mum nodded, slowly. Something was up. I was sure.
"You know yesterday, he was going crazy?" She said, staring at me. "Well I didn't know what to do...so I...um." I started to get angry. I wanted to know where my brother was. "SPIT IT OUT WOMAN! TELL ME WHAT YOU DID TO HIM!"I said, shouting. I grasped hold of her shoulders. "Just tell me where he is." I said, crying. "America." I was confused. America? That was another country! Surely she must be lying? "I put him on the plane... after... He hit me, scratched me. I didn't want him to hurt you. So I booked him a plane ticket." I looked at her in disbelief. How could she?
"YOU WHAT?" I angrily screamed at her. I heard a knock at the door. "Newspaper!" Mum said, legging out of the room faster than I'd ever thought she could run.
She brought the newspaper in, and handed it to me. "You put my brother on a plane and now you want me to sit back and read the NEWSPAPER?" I spat the word at her. She didn't even care. My brother needed a career, and in America who'd help him? I'm guessing mum didn't think about THAT. I saw the title "Plane crash" and suddenly realized why mum had handed it to me. "No! No! No! He can't have! No! No! Please No!" I cried. I looked onto the page and looked at the names of the people who were dead. My brother was there. I started crying, I wanted my brother. But my mother had taken him away from me. "I'm sorry. I-I didn't know this would happen!" She said, begging for my forgiveness.
