UPDATE:
Thomas???s house was on the corner not too far from Mainstreet; it was white with a pathetic excuse for a front drive. The two boys had been friends for quite some time and so Thomas???s mother, Elsie, had told Fitz he was welcome to just walk right in any time. So he did just that; without bothering to knock on the white front door with multiple foot marks from Thomas practicing kicking, Fitz walked into the house. He was immediately overwhelmed by the smell of bacon, eggs, and sick, which meant one of Thomas???s siblings had gotten a cold or some sort of flu. Fitz shoved his cold hands into his pockets, ???Thomas!??? he called out and a pale, blonde teenager stuck his head around the corner.
???You made it today!??? Thomas grinned, revealing two missing front teeth. He subconsciously ran his tongue over the gums, ???My mom is just getting out of the shower; she???s staying home today, though, but Bryan is old enough to watch himself for a few minutes so we can still catch a ride.???
Fitz nodded as he walked across the living room, which was empty except for an old couch, table, and television set. Thomas had his back turned to Fitz as he made his way back to his room, which was neat to the point of being ridiculous. Every other room in the house lacked organization, but Thomas???s room was always dusted, everything was put where it belonged. Hell, Thomas would know if you moved something a quarter of an inch; Fitz wouldn???t even know if you had entered his room, much less misplaced something. He leaned against the doorway as Thomas began to fuss with his bed, ???Did you get Hart???s assignment done???? he asked after a minute of silence, referring to their English essay on your goals for the future.
Thomas scoffed; for how neat he was, the teenager certainly didn???t attempt to keep up with his homework, ???Hell no! That assignment was pointless. My goals are private, Fitzy, private.???
???Don???t call me Fitzy.???
???But it suits you, Fitzy baby!??? As Thomas said this, a chill ran down Fitz???s spine. He was spared from coming up with a retort by Thomas???s mother calling for the two boys; she was ready to go.
