Pitter patter
white paws turning blacker
As you run through the leaves
they all scatter
You meow meow
like a summers song
and you don't stop
till the sun is gone.
Your purr is like an engine
that never stops.
It gets so loud
I can't hear you shredding away at my socks.
But i didn't care
about how many glasses you tipped
or birds you killed
even though the sleepless nights
were not a thrill.
And I still sit and cry
and wonder why
why This had to happen to me.
Not once, but twice.
why everything I had ever loved
was now living in the world above.
