Living with someone that suffers from depression is hard.

You must be understanding, not overly zealous and very patient.

Remember that the person is suffering from a medical condition and really doesn't have much control over their emotions.

They can be in a great mood and you turn your back and the ugly mood has reappeared. Sometimes I just want to cry because I get my hopes up that today might be a peaceful day but that doesn't happen.

Another day goes by.

Thanks, Tinsel. I took the time to read up on depression and my heart hurts for all that suffer from this medical condition. Hugs to you.

I wish my family would understand this. I get yelled at so much for being overly pessimistic and opening my mouth about stuff. I try and think before I speak, but it is just like word vomit happens and then people hate me or mad at me.
You sound very understanding and whoever you live with is very lucky to have you in there life. Take it from someone who has suffered from depression and anxiety for the past 11 years. Sometimes all we need is for someone to be just there, as hard as I know that can be at times. So, I know we do not know each other, but thank you so much for being there for your person.
