The Marapets Market - In decline?

It takes some hard-earned cash and a good sense of market prices to create a character away from the "Default" setting. However, my character is cheaper to create now than it was 6 months ago. Why?
Shop prices.
Many people are unaware of what they are doing when they place their item a few hundred mp below the cheapest price in the player market. If everybody did this to sell their items, nearly all of the items priced under 25k would drop to 1mp in a matter of days!
One thing that holds this disaster back is the fact that pricing your item lower than "that one" may not yield a profit. However, if you win a 10k item (easily done in tombola, fruit machine, or others) there is no problem pricing it cheaper, as you will never have a loss. I noticed my Red Sabertooth Thorax decline from 3.4k to just under 400mp in 3 days! I would much rather make some sort of profit, so I do not price mine at 200mp. This would make the matter worse.
In conclusion, I think if you wish to undercut somebody on the market, think about it before you do. You might be helping to slowly lower the price so any newbie could buy it in seconds.
What is your opinion on this?
