The Marapets Market - In decline?

Honestly, you should read this, you might learn something.

It takes some hard-earned cash and a good sense of market prices to create a character away from the "Default" setting. However, my character is cheaper to create now than it was 6 months ago. Why?
Shop prices.

Many people are unaware of what they are doing when they place their item a few hundred mp below the cheapest price in the player market. If everybody did this to sell their items, nearly all of the items priced under 25k would drop to 1mp in a matter of days!

One thing that holds this disaster back is the fact that pricing your item lower than "that one" may not yield a profit. However, if you win a 10k item (easily done in tombola, fruit machine, or others) there is no problem pricing it cheaper, as you will never have a loss. I noticed my Red Sabertooth Thorax decline from 3.4k to just under 400mp in 3 days! I would much rather make some sort of profit, so I do not price mine at 200mp. This would make the matter worse.

In conclusion, I think if you wish to undercut somebody on the market, think about it before you do. You might be helping to slowly lower the price so any newbie could buy it in seconds.

What is your opinion on this?

Note: If you price your item at the SAME PRICE as the cheapest one on the market, yours will still show up as cheaper.

Cause people are idiots. I mean come ON, the supposedly "Super Rare Staff of the Light Fairy" can be bought for 80k on the shops (as I write)...
It costs how much now, 1-10 mill to buy all the keys so you can get that? This is ridiculous.

Gahaha, someone sold me a dentist ticket for 500mp, how great is that? Some idiot ruined the economy by pricing them 10k lower, I got one in the pot of gold, put it in my shop for 31k, an hour or so later, it was 18k Why?!

I also price my items lower - but just by 1mp.
I'm not sure if that's as bad as pricing way below other prices, but oh well.
I might have to try pricing at the same as other people's though.
Food for thought at least.

Yes, I might just stay with 4 Years Cake and sell these xD

For others who are reading, it was something I tried.

I tend to price at same price. If everybody did that the prices would freeze, maybe even go up.

I also admit to pricing things lower, but that's just so they sell.

If we price them any /higher/ no one will buy them.

I suggest the best thing to do is price the item at the same price.

Or at least only go down a little bit.
