My Hiatus/History

Well, after three years on Mara I've finally taken a break. A long break. This first journal/blogging will be my history on Marapets, starting at the beginning.
So I joined August, 04. A month after Marapets was created and was the 6283 member, as you can see on my profile. Since Marapets was in early childhood, I created a pet named "Marapets" and adopted one named "Hi", knowing those pets would come in handy later on. Ian first tested out the Graveyard and for a few days it was successful, and I snagged a Zombie Tantua (When the Tantuas hadn't had their makeover) named Billabongn. After a few months of storing up seasonal (Not Christmas, but any special event) items for future use, I was traded a Recycled Rofling for my Leido, Marapets. The 60,000mp fee was quite difficult to raise, as you would imagine. The Rofling, at the time, was named Missy_Lion. That was soon changed to Riina. Soon, I had traded Hi for a NIY Huthiq (Huthiqs were rather new at the time) and was able to sell my stored items for a few million. A few generous friends and wise decisions later I had 2m, a Fire Quell, Love Sindi, Chibs, and Rofling. I traded the Quell for a Seasonal Chibs (Before the craze for them in December 06) and renamed her Amiree after a dear friend. Soon I had also traded the others for Farinelli, my Recycled Viotto. Now, thanks to Ericka who kindly gave me my Recycled Knutt, I was the first to have all recycled pets at once, and I still do.

All of that took almost three years.
Now that I have probably come back from my break, my friends have quit, my pets have lost their newness, and illiteracy reigns.

What a downer.
