Along time ago there were two girls named Jane and Sally who were the best of friends. They didn't care about what anyone said about them and promised to be best friends forever. Jane always talked about her older sister Sarah. Jane talked about how Shara was tall, pretty, smart, and kind. Jane adored her sister. But when the girls got into middle school Sally realized she had never met Sarah. Whenever Sally went over to play Jane claimed Sarah was at work, and when ever Sally sleptover Sarah was at a sleepover too. Sally was starting to doubt there really was a "Shara" when one of the popular girls walked over to her desk one day and said "Did you hear about Jane. She is such a liar!" "Liar?" asked Sally. "Aparently, Jane doesn't have a sister. If she did this "Sarah" would have shown up to at least one of the family races. That's what everyone says." the popular girl replied. Sally thought about and realized it made sense. But then again Jane and her had been best friend's since Jane had moved here, so Sally decied to be nice and give Jane one more chance. As it turned out the family races were tomorrow. So at the end of the day Sally went up to Jane and said "Your sister had better be here at the family races tomorrow, or we aren't friends anymore." Sally was shocked but in the end promised Sarah would be here tomorrow. Well the next day rolled around and the family races began but "Sarah" was nowhere to be found. So Sally went up to Jane and said "You don't have a sister. I can't be friends with a liar!" "Wait," protested Jane "she'll be here today she promsied!" "No. The popular girls were right your a big liar who doesn't desrve to be my friend!" Sarah said. Jane was angry "So you'll listen to the poular girls but not your best friend?" she demanded. "Ex-Bestfriend." Sally corrected and she walked away to be with her new friends, the popular girls. Just then a tall and pretty girl burst into the room. Everyone gasped. Sally and the popular girls wondered who was lucky enough to have such a pretty older sister. The girl turned to the teacher and said "I'm so sorry i'm late I'm here for my little sister..." she said scanning the crowd, and smiled when her eyes settled on Jane "There you are Jane! I'm sorry I'm late! Were you worried I wasn't coming." Sally and the popular girls were shocked, Jane really had an older sister. Jane stood up and said to her sister and said "No I wasn't worried." Then she turned her head and looked staright at Sally "After all Sarah always keeps her promises." Sally knew it was to late then to apologize.
So it was because of a rumor that Sally and Janes promise to be friends forever was broken. The moral of the story simply is that: when it comes to a rumor, becarful of what you belive, it will most likely hurt more than it will help.
