I know you're pain! My cat Abbey, 5 yrs ago got out of the house and my mom was backing up the car(Watching out for kids in my yard, not the cat) and while she was backing up the dog nest door got out of it's pen and chased my cat right into the back tire of the car. By the time my mom realized what had happened, it was too late. I know it was a while ago but it still haunts me!
