Auction Tips

One: Don't bid too early. Unless you want to keep track of an auction that won't end for another day or more, don't bid when there's still five minutes left. All that does is attract people to the auction and drives up the price.
Two: Bid only the minimum increment. You might think bidding 500 mp more will discourage other people, but trust me, it won't. Unless you want to BUY the item at slightly under market price (bid about 500-2000 below SS price depending on the rarity), use the minimum increment. It'll save you money.
Three: Don't bid on several auctions that all end at the same time. It is much better to focus on one and win it than to try and catch all three and lose everything. I would space auction bids at least a minute apart so you can actually keep watch.
Four: Refresh often and don't get distracted. When there's less than a minute left, constantly refresh and bid at the last second possible.
#5: Which actually goes off of number four...you may have noticed that auctions now purposely display the wrong time. It may be insanely off (all of a sudden, it will say 21 minutes instead of something in seconds), but sometimes, it may be off by just a few seconds. Refresh often as soon as it begins counting down in seconds and establish a baseline for about ten seconds. Make sure exactly what time it is before the 30 second mark. After that, refresh in EXACTLY ONE SECOND intervals and pay NO attention to the time that's displayed. Count down the time in your head until you hit 2-3 seconds, then bid.
The constant refreshing helps you more accurately count down the seconds and refreshes the needed bid price so that when you bid, you won't get a "bid too low" error.
