Elf is a bad idea

24th Dec 2008 20:41 I think that having Elf give random items to random people for christmas was a bad idea. This is the first christmas I was able to stay through the whole month, and was looking forward to see what mara had in store. It's hard to get on forums and be all holly-jolly when the holidays get you down. It's harder when you feel let down because one person on one account doesn't send you something for xmas. Chances are, it would've been worthless anyway.
I'm sure that Ian and his staff will never hear about this rant, and if he did, he wouldn't care. But in my opinion, something different should be done for next christmas, and actually resolved, unlike the month and a half long pumpkin hunt.

12th Oct 2008 12:07 I always stay logged in. In the past, when I did log out, the website would fail, so I don't want to jinx it. If you want to ask me a question and I don't answer in about 15 minutes or so, I am probably not actually here.

25th Mar 2008 14:15 My name is bored1. I get asked alot "why are you bored?". my answer is "because that's my name". I started using it back in '01. I'm not nearly as bored now as I was then. Addicted is probably a better word.
I tend to see the dark side of things. there is always a cloud attached to a silver lining. If you had had 5 family members die, suffered extreme depression, and been hurt by lots of people, you'd probably agree. most people say that if you try the same thing over and over, expecting different results, then you're crazy. I say you are optimistic.
I love movies. I have seen over 10,000. most of them are horror and drama. some would give you nightmares
If you see me in my car and I am "traffic jamming", it's probably cause Maroon 5 is on. If you see me standing on top of my car, with a fake microphone, it's because "I don't wanna be" is on.
I won't go into my feelings about all the remakes that have been made, except to say that the movie industry is killing our classic films.
I am a generally friendly person. But please be respectful. If you send me a mean mm, I'm bound to do the same, or block you. We all are entitled to our opinions, but not everyone can be mature about them.

Why I hate High School Musical

13th Dec 2007 21:35 HSM has become a major craze here. With the upcoming HSM 3 (groan), I am greatly worried about America's (and possibly the world's) tweens and teens.
First off let me say that I have a 9 year old cousin that loves it. I wanted to know what all the fuss was about, so one day when it came on I watched it. About 2 minutes into it I felt sick. I felt bombarded with happy-go-luckiness. I had to turn off the tv, go outside, and smoke a cigarette (to gain equilibrium in my macabre world). After seeing those brats get ready for the holidays, and knowing that there is no end in sight, I have to speak my piece (even if no one will listen)
HSM distorts reality. There is no peace and harmony in high school. Most kids' experience there is either 1) bad or 2) really bad. There are many cliques to deal with. You have to find somewhere to fit in (or in my case, crack jokes and form your own dorky club). Between tests, drama, and depression, many teens actually consider high school the worst years of their lives. Suicide rates are highest between the senior year of high school and the first year of college.
I hate musicals in general. Most of them spontaneously break out into song, and most of the songs don't contribute anything to the story. I feel that these musicals are a disgrace, because they get people's hopes up, only to have them shattered with the harshness of reality. I get really worried that my cousin will suffer the same fate.
Thank you, Disney, for ruining our children.
