Thea hadn't said anything.
When the boy, Charles, had left, as she had been thinking of a response, she hadn't noticed.
"Well, it's okay, I mean, I'm kinda craz-" she broke off, lifting her head, realizing that he was gone.
"-y.." she muttered, shaking her head.
This always happened.
She got up, dusting off her knees.
"Well," she told Drakkon, who slithered down her arm, "I guess that's another one. Friends, 0, people who've gone, 1." she chuckled grimly to herself.
"Well, time to find something to do here, eh?" she said.
"At least until Jack comes back. Maybe he'll have some more dragon candy," she said, recalling the blue smoke.
