BIC// Alex sighed, but not too audibly. Getting up, she silently crept past Dawn and carefully opened the door so that the hinges wouldn't squeak. She slowly closed it shut and sat down on the wooden steps outside of the cabin. She looked up at the starry sky and got absorbed in the twinkling lights for a moment or two.
Walking down the dusty street road, the teenager had no idea where she was going. At least she had an almost impeccable memory, so she wouldn't forget the way. Mind you, /almost/ impeccable. Sooner or later, she found herself at the waterfront. 'I'm at the beach?' she thought. 'How random.' She walked on the shifty sand that was still somewhat warm after the sun's procession over it, baking it intensely. The waves crashed loudly, but it was soothing. Sitting down on the sand right at the area where the tide couldn't possibly reach it, but it was still near the water, she looked out on the horizon, which held no orange hue from the long since gone sun.
